I was excited to use this product and I am not disappointed. It does everything it says it does! I have grown to depend on this light not only to wake me in the morning, but I use it when I don't have to get up early; I put it on just to wake me in a good mood on a cloudy, rainy or snowy day. 
I highly recommend for everyone! You will not be disappointed! 
I also found my cat loves it as he always lies near the light after its full illumination.

Like the functionalities and think the app is especially well created. I can definitely fall asleep more easily with the “red light” function and waking up is not as shocking as it was before. I do however think the look and feel of the product itself could be a bit more stylish as it's a bit ugly overall

Good product

I really like this alarm clock.  The light definitely makes a difference in helping me get up in the morning and I love the sounds of chirping birds.  I do wish it had a battery back up.  I read reviews and others mentioned it, so it was not enough to keep me from buying it, but if the power goes out during the night, the light flashes (and woke my husband up; he is not a fan of the clock).   As long as it does not lose power (and luckily it does not happen often or I would consider finding an inexpensive UPS to make sure it maintains power through brief outages).  I have a terrible time waking up in the morning and this has definitely helped me.

Philips Sunrise Simulation and Radio Wake-Up Light

I initially got this lamp because I was struggling with SAD. I immediately fell in love with it. I love that it wakes you up over a period of 30 minutes and it does mostly fill the room with light.

I didn't give it 5 stars because in the months that I've had it, I've not be able to figure out how to use the 'snooze' feature, in spite of repeated (sometimes frantic) attempts tapping all over the unit. Also, sometimes the controls a re a bit hard to work with if you have the highest light setting glaring in your face.

Overall though, a worthwhile purchase. So glad I got it.

Works Well

Would be nice if the audible alarm would increase in volume over time just like the light level increases over time.  A more effective method of silencing the audible alarm would be preferable to the touch method which is unreliable.

High quality, functional, good design

[Employee of philipsglobal] This product does what it is intended to do, however, I have noticed several flaws that make it a challenge to continue using.  First being no battery backup; everytime the power goes out, I have to reset the time and my alarm.  This can get annoying.  Another issue is that the volume of the bird sounds is not adjustable.  I often sleep right through them.  I wish the volume would increase to a greater magnitude.  Finally, I find it challenging to turn off the alarm- without a hard off/snooze button, I often find myself slapping the device and it not snoozing, or turning off when "pressing" the respective buttons.  I like the idea, but I feel a different model with these features would be better.  If the items mentioned above are important to you, switch to a different model.

Good idea- but missing some essential features

[Employee of philipsglobal] I like the idea of a wake-up light, unfortunately the wake-up light is the only good part of this unit.  The buttons are odd.  Setup is not intuitive.  It loses the time every time the power flickers.  The time display is either too bright at night or too dim to see during the day, I can't find a setting that is just right.  I expected better from a product at this price point.

I expected better

We have many power outages sometimes lasting just a few seconds.
Most alarm clocks have a backup battery to retain the settings and the time on the clock.
This device loses everything and is back to the first time set up every time this happens.
It is back to my old Sony radio alarm with backup 9v battery

No use if you get frequent power cuts like me
