I've had the Rancher (PB700D) for 6 months now and love it!  I've done a variety of meats (both smoked and grilled), and even baked a few things.  I follow the manual procedures to  the letter.  This is a solid pellet grill that is built to last.

first off I'm not one to write reviews. Having said that I researched for months before buying a pellet grill. Coincidentally I went to a friends house for supper and he had just purchased a pitboss 820. After playing around with it/cooking a wicked batch of ribs i was sold..... I ordered one as soon as I got home..... package was shipped quick/un damaged. Instructions on building were very clear. Unit is well built! Very sturdy...... i followed break in procedure word for word..... allowed proper cool down. Day 2..... fired up the grill,following instructions. Did a 6hr cook on a set of ribs. Turned out awesome..... took the grill racks out and used a shop vac to clean all the ashes. Wasn't as dirty as I was expecting...... day 3. Did a 2-3hr smoke on some salmon. Once again deadly!..... day 4...... plugged unit into outlet(same outlet as used before) unit Won't power up. Looking through manual. Found fuse location,removed front controller. Found the fuse to be ok..... reinstalled panel and now grill fires up..... started smoking a ham and about 2hrs in I seen a huge flash of light from inside the control box. Unit is now off.... inspected the fuse and found it blown. Went to the hardware store and got a pack of 5amp quick blow glass fuses..... fuse blows instantly(somthing shorted internally)...... can't really seem to get much help on diagnosis. I've now owned this grill 3 months. Used it 3 times and it's down...... I honestly do love this grill. And I'd still buy another one. Just sucks to spend money on somthing that failed so early. And parts are not super readily Available. I'll probley end up ordering a new auger/control head/hot rod. Just so I have spare parts incase this grill betrays me at the next family function
