This is an amazing grill.  It is well built and was easy to assemble by myself.  Most importantly the food cooked on it tastes incredible!  Not only does it have a really nice smoky flavor but the meat is tender and juicy.  All you have to do is load up the hopper with pellets and you are good to go, it is really simple to use.  I am very happy with this grill.

Good price for what you get, compared to other brands. It is strong and solid built. The food is amazing. I let a steak smoke for a few hours, it was so good. Charcoal or gas grills can't even compare to this. Haven't had any issues with the grill, just took some time to set it up from the box. The only issue that i have found is it just takes more time to cook. For better flavor you must let it smoke, then grill the meat. I would recommend this grill to anyone wanting a wood pellet grill.

Great smoker

I have been grilling for over 50 years and owned all types. This is my first pellet fired and I am amazed
at all the things it will do and do them well. Have had mine about 2 years and cooked beef, pork, fish
and sausage. Clean up is easy; too. This is money well spent.

Pit Boss Grills

When my gas grill finally needed to be replaced I took a long time deciding if I should go with another gas grill and eventually add a small pellet grill.  I went with just the Pellet grill as so much praise was given to this type of grill.  I can tell you I am very pleased and use it at least 4 times per week in good weather.  I am in search of a heavy duty cover for the unit as my unit sits outside in Colorado.   It is true you can use this unit as you would a grill, just with more flavor.  Other big name units on the market with a big name price.  Several friends of mine have those units and mine out performs them. (heat)  You will not go wrong with this unit, take care of it as recommended and it will provide many great meals.

I cook on this smoker every chance I get. I absolutely love what comes out of it. Cleaning is a bit of a pain in the butt. However the meat is well worth the effort. I cannot say enough on how much I love this grill. I ran electricity to the pad we had poured and built a pergola overhead, just for the cooker.

Best food ever

I purchased my pellet grill about a year ago and have enjoyed this cooking option thus far. It's reasonably priced and appears to be well built. I've cooked in extremely hot and cold conditions and the grills preset temps haven't fluctuated wildly due to the various conditions. It cooks as advertised and is easy to use. The only design flaw for this pellet novice is the location of the stainless side shelf. It would be more useful mounted next to the cooking area.

Satisfied

Really like the new Pit Boss pellet grill.  Each time I use it, I seems to always learn more about what works and what I need to do different.   I can now cut down on the smoke taste for my wife and keep it for the guys.  Great product and looking forward to this summers action.  (2018)

First time pellet chief

I have been smoking meat for about 10 years now. The Pit Boss 820 is the first time I have ever owned a Wood Pellet Grill so I can't compare to its competitors. What I can do is compare it to previous smokers. 

10 years ago I started with just a basic grill that I tried to hone in my smoking skills on. I graduated to a cabinet smoker that was charcoal and/or gas. After using it for about 6 years I decided to move on to something new. I had seen a lot of wood pellet grills out there at various price points. Through thorough review and constant research I was able to pull the trigger on one. I went with the Pit Boss 820 Deluxe.

I can't say enough how much I love this smoker. It takes a little getting used to regarding the initial set up and how well it cooks everything, but once you have it figured out...its ease of use can't be compared to what I've done in the past. Set it and go. I've only had two, what I call, "cooking failures" and that was more operator error than the smoker. 

With that said...I am a big fan of the Pit Boss 820 Deluxe. I can't recommend it enough...
