Pond's® Normal or Dry Skin Cold Cream 190ml is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 88.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miracle! I can't believe I never tried this before! This was a staple for my mother, but I never even considered using cold cream until my partner bought it to remove makeup. I think this is the kind of product that either works AMAZINGLY well for you, or it doesn't work at all. For me, it's a freaking miracle! It's like the satiny silky skin perfection I might imagine angels have in my dreams - except it's real life - and it's on my FACE! For those experiencing increased breakouts, bear in mind the proper use of cold cream: 1. Keep the pot clean! Wash your hands well before scooping out cream from the pot. You don't want to contaminate the pot. Scoop enough for the entire application - you don't want to be touching your face, then going back into the pot. This stuff is inexpensive and if you've scooped a bit too much, just use the rest on your neck. 2. Apply from the bottom of your chin, upwards. This works it into your pores for maximum cleansing. 3. Remove it by wiping from your forehead, downwards. This squeegees it back out of your pores. I use a *clean* wash cloth every time, that I wet with warm / hot water. The heat of the cloth melts the oil-base of the cream further than your skin temp, and draws it away from your skin better than a cotton pad or a tissue would do. Do not use the same face cloth twice. (To save laundry I use a cloth once for my face, then transfer it to the shower to use it once on my body before laundering. Bacteria grows like CRAZY on damp face cloths and if you reuse it on your face, you're just putting the bacteria you wiped off of your face back on to your face! As well, a cloth that is already saturated with face oil and cold cream is not going to remove the face oil and cream very well the second time. Use a fresh face cloth every time. Get a bunch from the dollar store. Pay attention to what parts of the cloth you're using, try to use a clean part of the cloth for each wipe. Some people fold the cloth in half twice, and fold it over after every wipe (giving you 8 sides of the cloth to use.) Wipe, turn it over, wipe, fold it over, etc. 4. Don't scrub! Part of the point of cold cream is it leaves a slight layer of wax and mineral oil to protect your skin from moisture loss and from the elements through the day. 5. 1 - 3 times per week, exfoliate gently. Just like you don't want to be rough with your skin trying to wipe every trace of cold cream off your face every day, you also don't want skin cells getting trapped in that protective layer providing a breeding ground for bacteria, or blocking your pores. I use the old-school st. ives apricot scrub or a green clay mask in the shower to gently exfoliate once a week. You might want to exfoliate more often, but don't to it so often you irritate your skin. If you're using the cream to the best effect, and removing it properly, you shouldn't experience increased breakouts unless you're actually sensitive / allergic to it. One reviewer said she applied some to her leg and had a breakout there - that's an allergy. Maybe look for an unscented cold cream to try? Or look for something without beeswax? A few other things to consider: 6. Consider a moisturizer at night, after the cold cream. 7. Consider using it as your twice-daily cleanser. This might be too much for some, especially those who prefer a more "made up" look. I just use aveda tinted moisturizer, a bronzer or blush, mascara and lip gloss. I find the tinted moisturizer works really well after cold cream - better than without. 8. Consider using it on the undersides of your breasts if you have larger skin-on-skin contact areas and notice enlarged pores or blackheads. Be sure to use a corn starch or talc to keep the area dry and you'll have much happier skin. I'm a true convert of ponds cold cream - I'll buy this for the rest of my life as long as they keep making it exactly the same!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome for very dry skin in all seasons! I have very very dry skin, and I am using this product since 15 yrs. I have used all sorts of expensive creams for dry skin but ended up buying again Ponds Cold cream. As soon as I apply it, my skin feels like it gets water and it gives a rich glow on my face. I always buy it from Walmart, cuz they sell it at a reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great I've been using this product for years to remove make up and waterproof mascara. It works great. Don't waste your money or time on other expensive facial products. Give it a try!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10/10 recommend I've tried other make up removing cleansers but they all make my skin very dry , not only does this product take off all makeup but it also leaves skin feeling very moisturized !! 10/10 would recommend buying especially for this price !!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a staple in my house and I use it as part of my fresh face routine especially if I have to wear heavier make-up for special occasions. This helps take off waterproof make-up and keeps skin moisturized. I also tend to use it more in the winter dryer months since I do have oily skin. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
