POWER IT! 5300 Watt Generator is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value I replaced the 240v 3 prong outlet with a 120/240v 4 prong L14-20 so I could connect to my house transfer panel. Works great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For the price, surprisingly good! Bought this during the recent ice storm in alliston, and it served us well during our 30 hour outage. I've now switched out the l6-30 for an L14-30 (would be nice if that was standard, but you can adapt it or swap it relatively easilly). The electrical side of things looks reasonably well done, at least for a sub 500$ generator, which is good to see. The engine seems to start well, but it seems to like a lot of choke even when hot. Hard to say how good it is long term, but so far I was able to run my furnace, hot water, large upright fridge/freezer, 2 bar fridges, a chest cooler, and our entertainment centre. I would definitely recommend this generator if you want a cheap emergency generator for the increasingly frequent extreme weather that global warming is bringing us.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheap but worth the cost! It wouldn't start the 1888 number was helpful. It was the low oil safety switch that is not resolved. You get what you pay for so at under 400.00 for a 5300 Watt Gen to my door it's worth it for minimal use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good machine that does what it should. I bought this 3 months ago on sale. It works well. I use it for emergency power during power failures and it has run for 17 hours with no problem. It handles small appliances, electric fry pan, television, fireplace fan etc. It is noisy, and the physical feedback when you pull the starter cord is odd because it does not seem to be high compression so it feels like it will not start. It does not require much choke to start and you must adjust the choke carefully to get it to run smoothly but it does not take much effort to get going. (4-5 pulls)
