My autistic 5 year old could never ride a trike but looooved this. Sadly it died after one summer. We were directed by fischer price to take it to a certain repair store, who kept it for 2 months and gave it back working very incorrectly: steering and functioning completely randomly. Planning to buy a new one because it was worth it anyway, but cant find it in any stores this year! Please stock them somewhere so we dont havr to pay shipping too!!

My son was afraid to try it because when he tried to sit down it falls backwards like one of those chairs that leans back too easily. It just didn't feel secure & sturdy at 1st. Now that he's willing to try it, the wild thing doesn't work. It's a great concept & needed addition to the PW line up but I got a bad break. I gae it 2 stars because we loved all our other PW vehicles.

Lacking

This kids have a blast on these when they work. I've found that even with a full charge the joy sticks do not work all the time. The kids have fun for 10 mins and then they completely stop working. They leave it for an hour and come back to it and it does the same thing. Ours are garage kept so they haven't been weathered. I am very disappointed for the price I paid for them.

Really fun when they work

We purchased for our son for Christmas  to learn upon him unwrapping and us assembling that it would only do 360 spins and not go forward nor backwards. We contacted Power Wheels/Fisher Price whom referred us to one of their local contractor's to troubleshoot and hopefully repair versus returning.  They've had it since Christmas and informed that the part was replaced; however now, reverse is forward and forward is reverse; therefore now they would have to contact Power Wheels/Fisher Price for more troubleshooting of this device. We decided to take a chance despite the reviews on this device; however we should have followed our first mind based on the higher percentage of poor ratings versus good. Nevertheless we will be returning for a refund.

My son is disabled and will never walk.  He is 8 and only 41lbs and I had been looking for a hand powered power wheels. So I was beyond excited (I ve been saving forever as Iam on disability and single)  to find this for him but after only 3 months it quit working

Quit working after 4 months

Just got this last week. Got it together, battery all charged up (18 hours). He used it for 10 minutes and it just stopped working. We know that the battery is fine because we swapped it with same battery for another vehicle and it worked fine. Yes he is sitting ALL the way back in the seat. Here was riding it and it just stopped and we couldn't get it going again.

Needs work after 10 min. of use.

Awful product. Didn't work right from the start and then they expect you to take it somewhere to have it fixed. Wish I would have read all the other bad reviews before buying!!!

DO NOT BUY

Bought the Wild Thing for our daughter who is in a Wheelchair to give her her independence around the yard. 
Haven't even gotten 2 hours of riding time and now it doesn't work. Replaced battery. The lights on the battery/speed setting work-  but no movement or sound when using the joysticks. 
FP wants us to bring it in to be looked at but the closest shop is over 4 hours away! 
I am very disappointed.

Don't Buy

My son was given one as a gift and as a wheelchair user he was so excited to be able to 'run and go fast' on grass and mulch at recess like his friends. It worked beautifully for him, but was crushed and broken when my neighbor drove drunk through our garage. I purchased a replacement and it's designed differently (it looks like the sensor buttons are on the side so they won't recognize his weight since he has reduced muscle mass in his legs) and won't run at all, I even tried with my heavier nephews and the battery would work for a second then stop. A total dud and my son is absolutely heartbroken. My only hope with them being out of stock most places is maybe they're redesigning them so they will work better. All my son wants is his toy that let's him go fast like his peers do.

Heartbreaker for my Son who wants to "Run"

Bought for my son who is disables, uses a wheelchair so was so excited to find something that he could use on grass/rough terrain. It just doesn't work. I thought maybe it was the battery, but looking thru the rest of the reviews, sounds like many others are having the same problem. Just doesn't move. Sometimes will only go in circles or backwards. It doesn't go forward. A couple neighbors have gotten a little more out of it, like 5-10 minuets before it dies. Also can't get the speeds to change.
