I always buy a Bissell! Thank goodness this one is extra light, because standing on a three step kitchen stool, I needed to vacuum the cool air intake way above my head, and I was able to lift this vacuum as high as neccessary for as long as necessary..while husband watched! (I always wave to the Bissell Co. on my way home to MKG after a race in GRR! But this Bissell is for our Winter Texan home near SPI.)

I absolutely love this vacuum! I vacuumed our living room area rug with my old vacuum about an hour before going to buy the POWERFORCE 1700. Once I got home I vacuumed the same rug & got a half of the canister of dirt & pet hair out of it. It was incredible the amount of stuff left over when I was thinking something was clean. I have 2 kids & a german shepherd so I'm sure it will be pushed to it's limits but so far I love it!

Love love love

I have a busy house 2 shedding dogs, 5 year old and my husband. So a lot of traffic. This vacuum works great. Picks up hair great, gets along walls great. The only thing I would change is longer hose and it would lay flat so I can get under beds. I really like it.

Good product

I have a cordless vacuum cleaner. This vacuum cleaner cleaned my carpet so much better. I could not believe all that was in the canister. I have 2 cats and they do shed a ton of fur, but I did not know there was so much left in the carpet. The canister is easy to empty and I am completely satisfied.

Powerful cleaning

I am a female with two very furry kitties and have multiple floor surfaces. I used this vacuum on thick, long carpet, treated hardwood floor and cloth furniture. It was very easy to put together and was surprisingly light weight! I am very impressed by its suction power and maneuverability. It seemed to glide across my carpet and unlike other vacuums, did not seem to scratch or be tough on the hardwood floor. I was a bit grossed out by how much fur was picked up, this may just show that my other vacuum was falling short. This vacuum is also relatively quiet. My one and only complaint- there is no option to stop the brush from spinning when using the hose feature. The vacuum is light enough to keep off the floor so isn't a huge deal. I just prefer being able to stop the brush.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Dyson stick vac I use daily. I got the Powerforce Helix to clean area rugs as needed. It is amazing how much dirt and hair it can pick up from a rug. I feel so productive when I see how much it picked up. It's easy to use and I vacuum twice as much as I used to because it is so easy to use, to empty and to put away. I LOVE it!

Powerful & lightweight

Received the Halix Vacuum and had to try it out immediately. I had just vacuumed 5 days previously with a Bissell bagless vacuum and could not believe the dirt and hair that came out of the carpets and off the floor. We have 2 dogs inside and this machine did wonders. For the money I don't think you can find a better vacuum and would recommend it highly.

Great Suction Feature!

This vacuum is amazingly lightweight. The handle is the perfect height not short like other handles. The cord is longer so I didn't have to unplug 3 times like I usually have to. It has amazing suction power. I had just vacuumed and it picked up even more dirt. I love the drop bottom dirt bin. A push of the button and the dirt is out. No need to unscrew anything or getting dirt all over. I highly recommend this amazing vacuum! You won't regret purchasing it!!

Awesome vacuum-highly recommend

Need more detailed instructions for assembly -i.e. Align part with slots on vacuums opening-. Would help to be able to stop brush while using tools to prevent rug damage. Would be better to have clips or clamps on bottom cover rather than screws to remove bottom cover and foot hose. Repetive loosing/tightening of screws causes wear on screw openings.Light weight but probably won't hold up any length of time without needing repairs or replacement.Product might be ok for occasional light use, not as an only household vacuum.User guide says a turbo brush is included, it was not.

This product probably won't hold up after repeated use.
