I bought a bunch of this despite the negative reviews. The mix is a little light on pearlite and a little heavy on wood chips but it's just fine for general potting. It does hold water beautifully. Dry peat-moss takes some time to absorb water so wet the stuff in a bucket or wheel-barrow before use or fill the pots in stages with soil and water. This also gives you a chance to mix in fertilizer and to ensure the wood chips are evenly spread. I just used 50L and only noticed wood chips in one or two pots. It's not a problem.

Very Good Potting Soil!

the 25l bag of premier potting soil purchased had almost as much soil as large chunks of wood! It takes too much nitrogen to break down wood so this is not a product I would recommend. I would complain to the company but there is no emailaddress, just a snail mail for Brantford , Ontario!
