Description & Features+

Picking Up S.T.E.A.M.
When you give sugar, baking soda and citric acid a whirl in the mixer to make fizzy candy, not much happens. But pop the mixture in your mouth, and your saliva dissolves the citric acid and a chemical reaction happens! The citric acid (yes, it’s an acid) and the baking soda (a base) produce carbon dioxide bubbles, causing that fun fizzy sensation on your tongue! The citric acid also adds tanginess, while the sugar provides sweetness.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for tween girls! This was a gift for my 10 year old daughter... She LOVED it as did I. It was fun to make the candy and for her to be "learning" and practicing measurements, instructions and cooking while still playing! Only down side is ingredients we not included with mixer - would have been nice to hve at least a starter pack included. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So much fun! Creative packaging! Kids were excited to open the box! Easy to use, only has a few parts to use. Process of making the candy is easy with only a few steps. No ingredients were included. Had troubles finding a store that carried the citric acid. Decided to substitute with lemon juice, no good. Looking forward to trying it again once our order of citric acid arrives via mail. (Ordered some online). Overall the kids really enjoyed the science part of this kit and would LOVE others like it!!! Makes family night fun!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun for kids to play and learn The Project MC2 Atomic Mixer was so much fun for my 4 kids ages range 11, 9,8 & 4. I love that they can still play and learn at the same time from type of ingredients that is need to measurements. The kids truly enjoyed the tasty treat once it was mix. I would for sure buy another or three so the kids can each have their own and have recommend this fun learn toy to my friend and family. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
