This is an excellent book. He definitely had a profound experience. As all of the NDE's are, his was for a specific purpose. It was geared for him and other doctors and scientists who are skeptics that there is a God, a Supreme Being. He came out of this experience with a miracle recovery and a changed attitude about life and what it's all about. There are some pages in this book that are very technical, because he is speaking to his scientific and medical peers. But it does not take away from the fact that the ordinary person, like me, can get a great deal out of this book. I would recommend it. In addition, if you want a NDE book that is meant for the ordinary person, I highly recommend Betty Jean Eadie's "Embraced by the Light."

This is an excellent book- I read the book twice and it gives a great perspective from a doctors point of view of the afterlife.

Good book- I bought an extra copy for my sister.

As one who is chosen, you can identify with the authors attempt to explain the miracle of God and Christianity. The one who is searching, will find a scientific approach and logic basis for believing.  I have purchased several copies for my friends that are in the medical and scientific fields as the author takes a logical scientific approach to explain what the secular world terms unbelievable. 

I just purchased another copy for my daughter in law as she starts her first year in medical school. She will have to decide each and every day, whether each truly believing patient is delusional and should be diagnosed and treated as such or quietly admit the truth.

This book is excellent and worth every penny.

It is a very deep book, one you must take time to digest, but it is extremely fascinating. I believe the Docter is honest, frank and sincere. I would recommend this book to any one interested in the afterlife. I came away with a different view than I had before.

Good read in the moment, if you already believe there is afterlife this just reinforces, if you do not believe this would be thougt provoking.

I don't know if I would recomment this book to a friend. It was a gift and I havn't read it.

PROBLEM:
The product (a hardcover book) was shipped in on of these cardboard envelopes that are hard to open. They have two peforation lines along the middle of the envelope; however, for someone with arthritis (and even if they don't have it) the envelope is very hard to open.
But, heres the real problem: The inside of the envelope is "sticky" - I assume to keep the product from moving. But, it sticks to the product. In this case, a hardcover book that wasn't shrink wrapped. So, the envelope sticks to the cover of the book, and if I didn't already know about this problem from prior purchases, opening the envelope would have ripped the book's cover. This would happen for softcover books as well, and for anything that doesn't have an inner (shrink) wrapping. Go back to using boxes that have bubble wrapping inside or something else to protect the product. What you are using right now IS NO GOOD !!!

In a way it is an easy read. I just skipped over the technical stuff. There are some things that seem to be insinuated that I don't agree with theologically.
