these turn old razor handles into better then anything you can buy now. newer razor designs just don't have the heft and precision these have. I've never cut myself shaving with these and the handle is at least 8 years old I'm thinking. just keep replacing the razors from the multi pack and save money!

better than new design razors

I prefer the Sensor3s over the Mach3s, but she says it's because I'm just stubborn.
Sure, I griped about having to figure out a different technique for the Mach, due to the design:
the head attaches at its lower edge versus the middle underside of the more traditional Sensor. (The Mach is above the Sensor in the photo.)
I suppose that's supposed to keep you from applying pressure and perhaps reduce the risk of nicks, but you eventually get the hang of it.
Still, it doesn't do the spot beneath your nose very well: that trailing design plus a wider head.
It isn't any easier to clean than the Sensor.
And the Sensor package has 4 units for the same price (pennies difference) as the 3 units in the Mach package.
Nor was I enthused when the 1st unit I pulled from the package left the handle in the package: not very confidence inspiring.
Anyway, it's a good shave, but I'll stick with the old style.

Learning Curve

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette Mach3 provided a very good shave, however to achieve a really close shave I had to go over the same spots multiple times. To its credit the lubrication strip allowed me to do multiple passes without any noticeable redness or chafing. The feel of the razor seemed a bit ‘light' but that could be due to me being used to a much sturdier and heavy razor. As for the longevity of the blades, I have used it five times so far and the fifth shave seemed to do just as good a job as the first. Overall the Mach3 provided as good as or slightly better shave then comparable three blade razors.

The new lubrication strip is too tacky and slimy, and the blue dye doesn't look right, aesthetically, compared to the white/blue combo that was on the blade before. At the very least, change the hue to the same as the blue rubber comb, or back to the white and blue hue that was on it before. Making it less slimy would also be great. I understand that this was probably done to cut costs, but, nevertheless...

Change the Lube Strip Back

Unfortunately, Walmart is selling fake products.  I purchased this razor blade at Walmart online, and I received a fake or defective product. When I tried these razor blades it scratched my skin to the point that I bled for quite a few minutes and tried different ones and same thing happened.  No idea why a famous retailer is doing this practice. I attached a picture of the one from Walmart which says AUTHENTIC and one I bought in ShopRite, and the one from ShopRite works as expected. I've never had this experience from any other stores.

Very disappointed.

i ordered these and they wwre delivered with two other items.  the back of the package had a slice doen the side and a tray of four cartridges was missing.
