My 9 year old son lives this so much. We got it for him for Christmas and he was so excited.

Really like this toy.  It comes with enough qixels for 6 animals, and each animal takes around 20-30 minutes to build.  There are refills you can get, but for some reason Wal-mart doesn't sell them at this time, so you'll have to look elsewhere.  

Another thing I like about this kit is the introduction it provides to 3D printing.  Creating figures one layer at a time teaches the basic concepts, and creates a basis for other STEM activities.

Bought this for my nephew,  he absolutely loved it.

Great gift

We got this for my son for Christmas and he loves it!   It took us a couple times to show him how to use it and now he does it alone!  We haven't tried the other Qixel but it appears this one is more limiting to the figures you can make then the other one.  I gave it a 4 because the refill packages are a bit expensive.  Come out to about $2 for each little figure.  The fact that they are 3D though makes it super cool!

Kindergartner loves it!!
