Price

Really excellent.  I have used it about 10 days now with temp about 29-32C or 84 to 90F and it has kept the whole house cool 1200 sq ft up,  800 down.  We use fans to move the air around the house.  On the hottest day it ran about 80 to 90 percent of the time during the peak heat.  It is quieter than I expected.  It is probably 5x better than my portable (single hose) 12000 btu.  I did not trust the small outside brackets that came with it and put in a heavy duty shelf.  Instructions are for a casement window or through the wall.  I have a sliding window.  I put 3 90 degree 3/4 inch corners on each side using the holes meant for the expanding side filler.  Those corners rest on the frame of the sliding window so it does not go fall out.  I cut plexiglass for the space above. So far this air conditioner is excellent.  This model only has farenheit.  It has a remote control but does not have the "follow me" feature that would measure temperature at the remote, it is measured at the air conditioner.  Also I find the swing is higher than I like.  Once it goes off,  I think it is 2 or 3 degrees F in temp rise before it comes on again. Overall it is great.

Really excellent air conditioner

Beautiful unit.  A little big for window mounting but I went through the wall.  I have it on the main floor of my house with a square footage of 900 sq ft. It works very little and keeps the main floor at 20°C. I could keep it colder but I don't.  Best $/Btu I found.

Fantastic purchase!

Hi, bought this one a month ago, had a LG 8000, wow what a difference its 10 times better, the fan really blows on high, not as noisy as LG, my old one dripped a couple gallons a day this one drips about a cup. I have one bedroom apartment, keeps it nice and cool!

Works great, good price

It's larger and heavier than I was anticipating but it works well! I like the options (cool, fan only and different fan speed settings). The remote is handy so you don't have to walk up to it to change settings. It was a bit fiddly to install. 

During the prairie heat wave this was the only AC option I could get within a week. I would have liked a portable air conditioner but this works well and will do for the next number of years.

Powerful AC Window Unit

Big unit that cools down the main floor of our house really well with fans to help circulate (1200 sq ft).  Best installed on ground level because it's a beast (2 man job)and you may need to do some adjusting outside.
Easy to use and no issues so far.  Produces a bit of water when running so don't put anything under it outside that you don't want wet.

Good window AC

This things awesome, but it's heavy. Like 125lbs heavy. And it comes with brackets, that it requires so keep that in mind while ordering. Between it and a 12,000 BTU it keeps my house really cold.

Heavy, put it spits out the coldness like mad

This thing is a BEAST.  Make sure you measure your window because I didn't and we got lucky with an inch to spare.  It blows so cold.  We have it in our upstairs bedroom and it cools the entire top floor and trickles down to the main floor making the house perfect.

I did take off a star because the window unit it comes with is so tiny compared to the A/C itself.  3/4 of the unit aren't being supported by anything so we'll be adding additional support.

We've only had our unit for a couple weeks so I can't speak to the longevity of it.

Cool air - but buy additional support

Air conditioner arrived early and very satisfied how provides comfort for my 930 sq ft home. The value and unit would rate a 5 but was slightly dented on top in transit and no compensation offered other than offer to return- too big and heavy to return

15000 BTU Window AC

LARGE UNIT (even though I saw the measurements it meant nothing until I saw it).
Also if you are putting into an apt window the brackets are fairly useless.
Alot of work to put take apart and put together - youtube was better than the instructions provided.
That being said works great (hence the 4 star rating), no issues with the unit and great price for the BTU.

Good purchase - with some considerations

This unit was shipped from Ontario to Alberta within less than a week, I was very impressed by that!
I had to wait until a couple of days with the install because it was too heavy for me to move. Once we were ready to install it, I should have probably not gone by the instructions - they were quite confusing! It would have been easier to only go by common sense and put that thing into my window, but I wanted to make sure to get every step right, so I took to the instructions instead - it made me almost cry out in despair a few times! Once installed, it really cooled my little place down pretty fast, and I was so happy!  Unfortunately the happiness did not last very long bc I had to discover that even though the compressor turned on/off every so often like it should, the fan NEVER turned off, ever. Google said it could be the thermostat. I did not want to return that mighty beast to Walmart (so heavy!!) and hoped maybe it's something I can fix - so I contacted RCA customer service by phone on Friday but was told that I need to talk to a technician on Monday and they'd email me. On Wednesday I emailed them bc I haven't heard back, emailed again on Friday bc still nothing… then on Monday I got an email stating that they forwarded my email to a different address and I should send my email to that address as well well, which I did.  Now it's Friday again and still no contact with a technician - since my 30 day return policy will be up pretty soon, I will have to return the unit to Walmart tomorrow, after all. And no, they do not have an exchange program - so I cannot leave my defect A/C there and get an exchange. They have to send it back to Ontario, I have to wait until my money has been refunded, and then I can order another one. No, thank you. 
So that's why 2 stars - definitely super fast delivery and it did cool the house; if you get a unit that's actually working properly, that would be worth 4 stars! But with all the hassle… 2 stars is generous.
