This unit is great, works very wewell. I purchased this model because I wanted the 
ease of portability in my 2bdrm apartment, also for the tub size. This unit is 
Big so make sure u have room 
for it. It will not fit in a bathroom, if u have a big one then maybe! Over all im very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend to my family and friends!

Great Product

Fits in a smaller place than a normal washer would. Mine is in my bathroom. Saves me from having to go to the laundry mat and constantly having to get quarters from the bank. Washes well and fits a decent amount of clothes. Easily can wash five pairs of jeans at once. Wouldn't try putting full or larger blanket but that is a no brainer. Love that it doesn't have the spindle in the middle. Agitates all the clothes well. I spent the first load watching everything swish around through the clear lid.  Very pleased with my purchase.

Greater washer

I purchased this washer and when I went to pick it up, I was astonished by the size being almost a regular sized washer with a very deep washing drum and quite heavy!  It is also an h.e. machine and requires  using  h.e. detergent. I Washed a queen sized comforter by itself  of course with no problem at all. The only issue that I have is that in order to use hot water, it has to also use the cold as well, so I have to  wash everything in cold water which isn't a problem because it DOES get the laundry pretty clean.  I may try to find a Y connector that will allow me to connect both hoses and run the hot and cold water at the same time that will allow me to wash my clothing using the warm water selection on the machine.

Surprised by the large size it has. Sufficient washing capacity. The clothes are very clean and semi dry. It makes little noise. Perfect option for apartments.

Excellent product!!!

I love my washer.  I live in an apartment that doesn't have a washer and dryer hook up so this has really saved me a lot of time and money by not having to go to the laundry mat.  I have had not issues with leaking .  All the parts where included and works well.  The washer holds just about if not what a regular washer would hold.  It cleans the clothes great.  I am so glad I got it and would buy it again a hundred times over.

LIFESAVER!!!

This is a great washer, compact enough for small apartments, yet big enough steel drum to hold large loads of laundry. I washed my queen sized quilt with no trouble. The noise level is pretty quiet too. It has no selection for delicate or hand wash options but the quick wash and anti-wrinkle functions for delicate fabrics works most times as same. I did not buy a dryer but the spin cycles are so string in this machine that clothes came out just about damp and it also has air dry option. I am very happy with this buy. Really satisfied. Only thing that when I first used the machine I did not look under the machine when unpacking and left a u shaped metal which held the packaging intact, as it was. So when I turned the machine it rattled like earthquake. so I immediately stopped the machine, looked under and took out the piece and the foam it cane with. It was part of packaging and I didn't know. Since I bought this machine. My clothes look much cleaner than the Laundromat machine, I recommend this machine to Apartment dwellers with kids, since its big and ideal for families.

Ideal-Apartment-Washer for Family of 4

I love it, it's portable, it hooks up in seconds. I've had this RCA washer about 2years now. I'm looking for the dolly for it to sit on since I no longer have storage space in my tiny kitchen. I wish it had 4 wheels instead of just the 2 back wheels. I don't care for the buzzer noise when the cycle ends. I'm happy with it, I've definitely gotten my moneys worth even if it stopped working today.

Excellent Product

My honest review about this purchase is very pleasant prompt and reliable attention and on time delivery. The only problem with the machine is the door on tap is kind of defective in one side LR looks like the spring is broken or not in the right place, it should open smooth but jams on the right side when opens and closes other than that excellent performance as expected. Very pleased and aesy to use.

Great action unit.

I found the wheels in the back almost useless, but I put the washer on a dolly with 4 wheels and that works quite well. I have put 5 loads of laundry through the washer so far and it is working well. Seems to be cleaning the cloths very well and the cloths come out of the regular spin cycle as dry as any full sized washer.

So far I am quite happy with the washer.

RCA 2.5 Cu Ft Portable Washer

I had an 1.7 avanti and a 2.1 midea before this, both fit perfectly in my space but the avanti broke after 6 months and the support for it was absolute garbage. I then Ordered the midea but it came all dented up and leaked water all over my floor immediately and so had to be returned.
The RCA arrived with only one little dent but otherwise perfect. If you weren't looking (I was because of the midea incident) you wouldn't even have noticed. I hooked up immediately to make sure it would leak and it ran perfectly. Only 3-settings for water so that's very disappointing . The big problem though is the size, this is in no way a portable machine! One side bubbles out like a half moon instead of being flat so it could not fit in the 26inch wide space I had for it. So now instead of it being out of the way I had to put it on rollers and keep it on my floor. If I knew this I would have just bought a regular 27in wide washing machine and save some money. There is no hiding this big monstrosity it's the size of a regular machine. I bought the warranty with it and only time will tell if it holds up. However if it wasn't for the hassle I would return it for an actual portable machine that I can fit in the space that I needed it for. Also the door locks when it starts and there is no way to disengage it I hate that! Sometimes you need to throw one more item in and you have to stop the entire process to get an article of clothing in the machine. The lock engaging sounds really loud and at first and I thought it was broken. Instead of constantly moving it has a lot of soaking time but it still manages to clean the clothes, this however might be a problem with someone with small children who may need more oscillating to get the dirt out. I was able to get a queen size comforter in there and it came out clean.
Overall I don't hate the machine but I don't love it either. I took a gamble because I wanted the largest portable I could get for the best price. The capacity is nice but the fact that it's wider that advertised is really a turn off because for the same money I could of had a bigger capacity if I was going to be inconvienced anyway. It washes fine it wrings out fine (but the avanti wrings out better till it broke), but I can just take stuff out and hang dry it so it's fine. Clothes smell great and the lint trap actually works in this one just empty it after every wash. I bought a dolly online so that it's more mobile than trying to use just the wheels (they scuffed my tile floor). Walmart and Amazon both sell the adjustable one and I really recommend it if you are not going to leave it stationary

Not really portable

This RCA 2.5 cu washer is awesome! It doesnt take up muvh of my limited space and it's super easy to move and set up for one load or multiple loads. The functions are easy to understand, quiet enough to watch tv in the next room, and my clothes are way cleaner than washing them at the laundromat! Lessons learned-the washers atthe sink connections leak until they get softened up by around the 3-4 use

No dirty laundry to air!
