RCA 7” Android 4.4 Tablet is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 523.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not terrible for the price- Service Plan Useless My daughter saved up her money and purchased this for herself on Black Friday for $29 and at the same time I bought one for my husband. Because it was so cheap I went ahead and added the replacement plan to them just in case. I was surprised at just how functional it was for the price. The apps work fine and the picture is decent. It was a little slow and the built in camera was absolutely useless. If you want to take pictures, do not buy this tablet. Within 2 days of the end of the store return period my daughter dropped her tablet and the screen went gray. It would no longer work or show anything but gray and white lines. I followed the instructions on the service plan to return the tablet for a fix or replacement and it seemed easy enough. However, when I got to the last screen it asked if I would like to receive my balance on a gift card. This confused me since I was sending it in to be fixed or replaced so I called the phone number. Apparently neither of those are actual options on the replacement plan. The way it works is you send in the tablet and they issue you a refund for the amount you paid for the tablet. Since my daughter bought it on Black Friday when the price was $20 cheaper than normal, that is useless to her. So the tablet itself functions well when it is working, but I would recommend getting a heavy duty case if there is a chance of it being dropped at all. My husband's tablet still works fine and he uses it often for looking up recipes in the kitchen, listening to music on spotify, and playing games.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really speed even with a small viewing angle Pros: I am very impressed with the RCA 7" inch 1GB RAM with 8GB ROM tablet. It is very speedy. It even runs Angry Birds Transformers game for my kids smoothly. I use XBMC/Kodi to watch TV and movies. And I must say, its very good and is able to handle XBMC with good speed. The wait time for loading is one to two more seconds compared to my TV box but its still good. I will recommend it to everyone when it was on sale for C$50.00. Walmart USA sells it for US$59. Now that price has gone up to C$68 it is still good but not the best as before 31 Dec 2014 sale. Cons: The viewing angle is maybe only 90 degrees in total from left to right. But no problem for me since I am sitting directly infront of it all the time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from perfect for the price Recently bought and so far exactly what I wanted from it. Bigger than my phone for YouTube and quickly checking the net. No issues so far that others have stated but not taking away from their issues. People can be unlucky and wind up with a broken or under performing device. No over heating and has been holding charge. Have been getting more out of a single charge than I expexted. Sure screen quality isn't the greatest especially at certain angles video looks really bad but if held at good angle it's fine and for the price I paid it's exactly what I was expecting and if you're expecting I pad quality your expectations are way too high. Reminds me of the budget hotel I worked at in Vancouver. Rooms were a bit cheap and worn out but clean and well kept and great for $70..however people were disappointed it didn't have same amenities and quality as the hotels across the street where cheapest rooms were $400. Would recommend it for what it is and if your expectations aren't out of whack and you know it's limitations going in it's great for it's price range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WAY better than others in the price range I had someone knowledgeable advise me to buy this tablet for my kids... but I thought that was taking into consideration the Black Friday sale. Since then, I have bought myself two tablets of different brands that were slightly more expensive. One had to go back as defective, but most parts were working and I could tell it wasn't as good. The other, which I'm stuck with because it works properly, can't hold a candle to this tablet. These were not all purchased at the same store, incidentally. The kids use these for videos and games, so they aren't going easy on the core/RAM. They are doing very, very well. The oldest used to have a dual core of the same brand, and he can definitely see the difference. This quad core is way better (for the same price, incidentally). The oldest does say the screen is not good enough for an art app, or he would do that too. But I explained to him what artists pay for their tablets and he understood. We haven't made use of the cameras except for brief video chats, which worked properly. So I can't say much about those. I should also point out that my younger son is special needs and is physically very hard on tablets. He's managed to scrape the screen (through the screen protector), but the tablet has survived innumerable drops. We still got the protection plan, of course, but I am amazed we haven't had to use it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wouldn't turn on! I purchased this tablet on the Boxing Day sale. Unfortunately, it never worked at all. Very disappointing.
