[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This oval waving wand makes perfect styling waves. It leaves my hair looking silky and wavy. My natural hair is straight and thin but after using this oval waving wand it is nice and fuller. This wand comes with a heat protective glove to protect your hand while wrapping your hair around the wand. The graphic temperature display is digital and has three buttons (power button, high,and low). This wand comes in a cool glittery pink color and can heat up to 410 degrees. It can heat up as quick as in 30 seconds and can auto shut-off in 60 seconds. What is more awesome is that it comes with a 4 year warranty. This ceramic wand states that it is the most advanced ceramic with real silk proteins for silky-smooth, long-lasting curls. I absolutely love how this wand leaves my hair looking and feeling. It is not like other curlers or wands that stick to your hair. What's awesome is that the manual comes with a chart for the suggested temperatures for the different styles of hair so that you don't overly heat the wand and burn your hair. Overall, this wand is awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received my Remington Oval Wave Curling Iron, and as soon as I read all of the instructions and warnings I had to try it out. I started with the heat setting at 360 degrees. After my iron was completely heated and the indicator lights stayed on, I locked in the temperature setting so I could start waving. I began with small sections at first to make sure I did not burn my hair. With the glove on I wrapped each section and held it for about 30 seconds each. I found with my thick hair that it did not hold the wave very well. At this point I increased the temperature to 400 degrees. This setting seemed to do much better, while still keeping my hair wrapped for about 30 seconds for each section. This resulted in much better waves. I went ahead and increased the temperature to 410 degrees, while it was heating up I combed through the waves that I had previously curled, the waves done at 400 degrees stayed very well. This was not the case with the waves done at 360 degrees. Once the iron was heated to 410 degrees, I then finished waving the remainder of my hair. While it was a little time consuming with my long hair, the end result was great. The waves actually stayed in for most of the day. A quick touch up in a few spots in the evening and I was out the door with a flirty natural and full of body hair style that my friends and husband just loved. Easy to use and can be used for a little extra body or the waviest of hair styles. I love it, it brings even the flattest hair to life.

Classic and stylish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I unfortunately do not curl my hair at ALL. I have always had the "basic" clamp curler that I have used maybe 2 times my entire life. Due to those reasons, I honestly just do not think I knew how to use this curler correctly. I like the fact that it only took a matter of minutes to warm up to use. I LOVE the fact that the temperature is a digital readout because you know exactly how hot the curling wand is. I have SUPER thick hair and this product only took 10-15 seconds of me holding it in place to accomplish a curl. I did not like that the product did not have a clamp to hold the hair in place. It comes with a glove you can wear so you do not burn your hand (which I would STRONGLY advise using). I used the glove the first few minutes & due to the static it was causing in my hair, I removed it. A few minutes later, I had to put the glove back on because this curling wand does get HOT! Overall, this product does a great job curling but I think I will need more practice in how to use this product.

I Like This Curling Wand

Remington, T-STUDIO featuring SILK ceramic technology, the most advanced ceramic with real silk proteins, for SILKY SMOOTH RESULTS, is a OVAL WAVING WAND!!! This was not what I expected, but is a very nice WAVING Wand. My hair is a little too short to use this product, it is an "oval" wand approx. 1 inch width. I used it on my granddaughter's hair, she has a thick mass of straight hair. It worked wonderfully. If you take smaller sections of hair, the hair has more wave and bounce. The product has safety in mind with it's 60 minute shut-off and built in stand. A heat protective glove is included for use with the wand. The handle has digital controls, with 3 heat settings, use depending on your type of hair. 4 year warranty. "Simply Wrap and Go", for beautiful waves.....it's true!! Very nice product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Remington T-Studio silk ceramic Oval Digital Curling Wand to see how it works with curling hair. I had a hard time getting the hair to stay around it but it did curl the hair. You have to try different ways to get it to curl the way you want it but it does a good job. You have to be careful of how long your hair is in the wand because i noticed if you leave it on the too long there is a smell from your hair because it was heated too long. My hair is hard to curl sometimes and it curled mine very well. Read the directions carefully and make sure you wear the glove that comes with it. It will give you results. I have thinner hair and my daughter has thicker hair and it worked in both showing a good curl. You just have to turn it in different ways to see what way works best for you to give you the results you want. I am going to figure out the best way for my hair to get better curls.

Good Item

With that out of the way, I love the Remington brand, and this curling wand is no exception! The Remington curling wand is packed with awesome features. My favorite feature is the digital read out, and the fact that I can lock it particular temp, so that I don't accidently change it while styling my hair. Another feature I really appreciated was the shape of the wand itself, which lends to big lose beachy waves, the very look I was going for. I also liked that the wand has a super high heat setting (410*F) which achieves the look I want really fast so I don't have to hold the hair for very long. I do however caution you to use the black heat resistant glove that comes with it so that you don't burn yourself (I learned the hard way), keep in mind that most things we cook in an oven are baked between 350 and 400 so please use caution this wand gets really hot! Anyway check out my pics, my hair looks great and it was super easy and fast to achieve with the Remington curling wand! Hope this review was helpful!

Remington Delivers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using many a hair styling tool, this one ranks among top. Aside from brand (Remington has always been a solid product), and color (hot pink!), the unique shape attracted me unto trying this wand. The learning curve vanished after watching a simple tutorial online on how to use it. (Basically like any wand but start from the roots and go out.) The tightness depends on the type of curl you get. You can get tight spirals or loose beach breezed waves. Once you get the hang of it, depending on hair thickness and length, you can curl your whole crown in 10-20 mins.

Thankfully it comes with the glove, which you will want to wear. You don't need to use it on max heat unless perhaps your hair is heat resistant or thick. 275 worked well on fine hair that hold curls relatively well. The only thing I have to nit pick is you do have to lock the wand when doing your hair. You do this by holding the minus button simultaneously with the power button. The other nice thing about it is the built in stand. I have had many a kick stand break off.

All in all, this is a pretty great product once you get the hang of it. The learning curve is minimal however.

Attainable easy professional looking curls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The curls don't get better than this. And the shine is fantastic! Instead of paying an outrageous amount of money to the salon, we just plug in and start curling. It makes the cutest, I call them sassy, curls. When your daughter is part of a competitive cheer squad, you look for any and all ways to cut costs.. and believe me, cutting out the salon is a HUGE money saver. We have been watching online, self help, videos to learn how to do the different looks. But of course its great for the everyday curl too. I use the glove that comes with the wand religiously but my daughter has it down to a science and rarely uses it. It gets super hot, super quick so its great for last minute plans as well.

The Wand That Really Curls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new curl -waving- wand features a oval heat rod made from ceramic and silk proteins to give hair a silky shinny texture. The curls do not come out oval but this helps the curls to have a more natural wavy look. Curls came out big, rather wavy; smaller curls were not able to be achieved. The digit temperature reaches up to 410 degrees and can easily be read in a blue digital temperature display on the handle of the rod. The wand takes only 30 seconds to heat up and has an auto shut off feature at 60 minutes which I love! It also comes with a heat resistant glove and a four year warranty. I love that in order to adjust the temperature you have to push the button twice (the temperature locks) because otherwise it would be very easy to accidentally adjust the temperature while styling your hair. There is also a raised edge at the base of the rod which allows you to prop the wand on the counter when it is hot without damaging the surface. The swivel cord also comes in handy. The only downside to the curling wand I found is that you do have to wrap your hair around the wand and hold it in order to curl your hair, as the name of the product applies. Someone with more styling ability and experience might be able to get the curls to hold without actually holding the ends but it is actually a good thing because this way the ends of your hair are not burned as they are more delicate than the rest of your hair and more susceptible to damage. It takes some getting used to but it's as bad as I expected because the wand heats up so fast that it doesn't take very long for the curl to take. I found that the longer I held the curl the longer the curl stayed in. My hair has a hard time holding curl because it is so thick but I didn't have any problems achieving great curls with this.

Great Waves!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered thinking this may help give a little curl to my just below shoulder length hair.
I tried and tried to get it to stay in my hair long enough to curl, it kept falling out even with very small amount of hair.
It is very slippery, so nothing to hold the hair, that I could figure out.
My shortest hair length is 10 1/2" long. I wrapped but it slipped off.
Sorry but I just would not recommend.
