These attractive, strong, durable canisters are great for storing dry goods and other items. They are leak proof ( I checked) but best for storing cereals, grains, and other pantry products. I love that they are made in the USA and that they are BPA free.

Great canister set!

The containers arrived earlier than expected which was great. The only downside was that Walmart shipped the boxes only in the boxes the containers come in when on the shelf in the store. One of the boxes was crushed in the corner. I thought the containers were damaged. Luckily after careful inspection all of the pieces were intact. The containers are just as I expected. Very sturdy for their purpose. The sizes are great. I will be purchasing more of these containers in the future.

Meets my expectations

I replaced all of my canisters with these, and it freed up so much space in my pantry. We recently went gluten free, which means instead of 1 flour canister, we have 8 various flours in varying quantities. These all stack perfectly in my pantry. The variety of sizes mean I have one for the large quantities, like sorghum flour, medium quantities, like sugar, and small quantities, like almond flour. I bought 3 sets online, plus my local store sells them individually so I bought more of the smallest ones for my rare ingredients like arrowroot and almond flour.

Maximizes the space in your pantry!

After looking at several options I chose these to reorganize my pantry. They come in four very practical sizes and they stack nicely. The lids feel very secure and the clear containers make it easy to see what is in them. I'm really pleased with my choice. My pantry looks great!

After about 2 months of research, I finally found the perfect containers for my dry goods in the pantry. I wanted a way to keep boxes & bags of cereals, pasta, baking products, etc, fresh & handy. These canisters are not only the perfect size, but they stack nicely, take up minimal space, are nice looking, & seal completely. They are easy to scoop out of, or pour, the clear sides let you view ingredients nicely.

Superior Dry-goods Storage.

Rubbermaid is a trusted brand for me and these storage containers makes keeping items freshly sealed a great added benefit.  Example: many people say they have trouble keeping brown sugar from hardening in other brand containers, but I have not had that problem with Rubbermaid.  I decided to order more.

Great Storage Containers

I needed some extra space that my round canisters were taking up, and I ran across these Rubbermaid 8 pc Modular Canister Set. I purchased 2 sets, as I knew 1 wouldn't be enough, They're FANTASTIC! In fact, I went to the store to purchase more, and when I got home I noticed something that others complained about, that I didn't have when I ordered them online. The labels on the containers. It's near impossible to get them off! However, I found something that works very well, called Goo Gone. It takes a bit of elbow grease, but they do come off and the container isn't damaged! Blessings!

Yes! Finally Something Practical!!

I already had a couple of the Rubbermaid modular containers; however, I needed more to stock my refrigerator. I find that the Rubbermaid modular container easily fits stacked or side by side on the shelves. Everything from fruit (e.g., melon and /or watermelon slices) to vegetables ( e.g., carrots, celery stalks, broccoli, and romaine lettuce), I love how I can stock my fridge!  Although, not very much stays in refrigerator very long ... I have 3 grandkiddos that raid the fridge, very often. Lucky me, the Rubbermaid Modular food storage bin is translucent to easily view it's contents, plus, the fairly narrow grip almost makes it an easy "grab n' go." Bottom line. I might have to buy more. Thanks, Walmart for the opportunity to purchase online and Rubbermaid for creating my favorite modular container!

CAN YOU STOCK, STACK,

Not really sure where to go with this. We read reviews and saw most people saying they are air tight and keep counter type foods fresh for weeks. Yet saw a few "sprinkled" here and there saying they're NOT air tight. We just figured maybe they got some bad ones. We picked up a few from the store and then ordered the sets online. We put water in the ones we had and turned them upside down with water POURING out of them (yes, they were tight. no way to get them tighter unless you melt the plastic together). Dried them out completely and then later on that night put a trial size of chips into them and the next day they were already stale.

Looked in the question/answer section and even rubbermaid says they are NOT air tight. Yet I see other people who did the "water test" and not a drop came out? So my guess would be bad quality control? We ended up taking back the 4 sets we bought without having to fight with all of it.

Basically get them and try them out for yourself if you want. You might get lucky. For us it just wasn't worth the hassle. We're going to get ones that are KNOWN to be airtight and not just a "maybe".
