Great value (under $300) for 7000 (or 10000 ASHRAE) BTU to cool my newly converted home office. Working non stop since early June to get me through the heat waves.  Be sure to follow the detailed installation manual to pick the right location for the unit (sizable unit with clearance - at least 30 cm on each side of the wall and 50 cm from the outlet louver).  Key points such as that the unit must be near a window to install the exhaust hose (1) Exhaust hose and window kit - It's easier to set up the exhaust hose than expected (for sliding or hung window).  (2) Water collection or drainage - need a spot (close to the unit) for a bucket for continuous drain and need to empty the bucket frequently.  (3) Power supply - close to a dedicated 3-prong grounding outlet.  (4) Appearance - Exactly like advertised

This air conditioner was such a good purchase. We have an upstairs room that is constantly in the sun and our central A/C just wouldn’t cool our room enough. The Southern California heat was literally unbearable so we decided to buy this for our bedroom. It blows so hard and so cold even on the lowest fan setting and within 30 minutes the room is cold cold cold. I think for what we needed it for it’s perfect. Note: our room is insulated and it’s a 12x12 room with hardwood floors. I don’t think this will cool a larger space or an entire apartment but for one room it’s more than sufficient. I’d suggest buying the extended warranty just in case.

Super cold !

Product arrive in a damaged box, once I put it together it was in working order. Ran it for about an hour to make sure it worked cooled very well. I got this as a back up for the next power outage I believe it will work fine. I am impressed. As far as the shipping that is on UPS there is something wrong with the services of UPS I receive several packages regularly and have noticed late and un-trackable orders their customer service has gone bad.

Chilling : )

This AC works well. I would like to given reasons why I do not give a 5 star. 
(1) There are two sliders for the window. If I use one, it is not long enough but if I use two, the 2nd slider blocks some of the opening in the 1st slider.
(2) There are small gaps between the sliders and window frame/hung window. I can use the provided foam seals to block these gaps. However, once installed, I cannot open this window or move this AC to another window because these seals will be broken.

Works well

This is good little unit, installation was a breeze. Yes, you do have to drain it because it is not an evaporative unit. Those are a lot more expensive. I live in Florida and drain it about every 72 hours, just use a 5-gal. bucket. I set it at 70 and it is still really cold.

Great little unit

I bought this for the 2nd floor of my house which is only 3 rooms. It doesn't cool as broad of a range as I had anticipated, but it cools it enough to be comfortable. I'll be anxiously awaiting my next electric bill to see how much it effects the usage.

Not too bad

Delivered timely I guess.. but I’ve had to reset my fuse box 4 times just to get the lights in my house on…it better do its job or I’ll be more than disappointed. Yes my fuse box is brand new, yes it’s it it’s own direct wall outlet without other devices connected to same outlet.

I’m blew like the fuse trying to get cool

The unit has trouble cooling a small area.  The heat given off by the exhaust and intake of outside make up air leaves very little cooling in the space.  Also, after the compressor shuts down, the evap van continues to run.  This evaporates the water on the coil and blow it into the cooled space which make the humidity go up and the room extremely humid.  It works somewhat, but not very well.  Get a window unit if you can.

Poor cooling, poor design, not worth the money.

It cools my bedroom really well. Not as loud as some other AC units that I have.  The price is pretty good. I see some complaints regarding price. Those people are extremely cheap and out of touch with reality and the 21st century! Portable AC units are usually more expensive.
