Well worth the money

To never running out of ice again,filling a tray

works like they say it does, but after 6 months it's start's to develop a mind of it's own.it starts making ice opposite to what you want in terms of the size of ice you want, I still use mind a lot and I'm still amazed at the size and thickeness of the ice product. I have two of these ice makers,one is the larger salton 2.2 pound of ice and the other one is the RCA ice maker,once again both ice makers will go awol after 6 months or so of continuious ice making. (sry for the spelling errors)

works like they say ....but.......

Worked great for about 10 months, then wouldn't stop making ice when it was full. I turned it off and now the lights come on and the ice shovel rotates every few minutes, but it doesn't pump water into the freeze tray. It's ready for the dump :(

Works great but doesn't last long

I have owned three units so far. All three have begun making ice on the front fingers only. I have returned 2 to CTC and called the mfg.
Salton told me not to work it so hard? They advertise it as making 26lbs per day.I use it less than that and they all failed. Going to try another product.Hope reviews are done after people have used the product for a while not just out of the box.

Don't buy it.

We got one of these machine with our RV and was really disappointed with its performance. The ice cubes are small thimble shaped tubes that melt in minutes in a drink even on the largest setting. It uses a lot of energy for what it produces and you have to keep an eye on it as once the ice cycle is out of water the ice begins to melt in the cooler basket. The machine is heavy and developed a leak shortly after we used it a few times. It's a lot easier and cheaper to make ice in a freezer tray. It's doesn't work nearly as well as they claim.

Not worth the trouble

I have had this ice maker less than 3 months and it has stopped working. My sister is on her 4th one due to the same issues. It is a solid looking machine but the internal design is not good. The fill light comes on when it is full and after turning it off and emptying it and starting over, it works for a few cycles and then it stops. Very disappointing.

Defective product
