Ease Of Use

Battery Life

Simple to operate and store due to its compact size.

Battery life may not last long even with fresh batteries.

For seniors who only want one or two pieces of meat or vegetables to freeze it worked great on freezer bags. Also great for resealing those chip bags. Thank you

RECOMENDED TO ALL MY FRIENDS

walmart.com

Great for small or large chip bags. Used it on saltine and ritz cracker sleeves. I've even used it on a “share size” M%26M bag. It seals almost everything!!

The Salton Bag Sealer is something I didn't know I needed. I love that it heats up fast, seals bags in seconds, and keeps everything from snacks to freezer portions fresh with zero fuss. The seal is strong and the small size doesn't take up space. Very useful to reseal item when I need to refreeze like peas, or when packing butchered steaks etc.

Seals Everything

Salton

As with most products there is both some good and bad issues with this I love the convenience of holding it and being able to maneuver various bags and sizes it does seal, but it takes more than one swap . For the price I love it. With the magnetic backing hang it on the refrigerator for easy access I love this little feature .

clips no more!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was fun to reseal the chip bag. I had a problem with the cutter, it seems to rip more than cuts.

So cool.

Waste of money. Fresh batteries and it doesn't work. Also, no instructions in the package. Had to google it for info. Don't spend you money on this. Zero stars.

Waste of money.

Doesn't work. New batteries. It worked once then stopped. What temperature does the sealer need to be at before it works? I clamped a meat tester in it and went to a temp of 110 degrees and it still wouldn't work.
The downloadable manual only comes in a RAR compressed file. It can't be unpacked by a regular zip program. Who in the right mind would use a RAR zip. Why not have a standard WinZip file available.

Fails to work

not as good as I thought it would be. would not recommend this item.

Very sensitive to the pressure applied and the speed you move. Uses a wire to apply heat. If you dwell too long it cuts the bag. If you go too fast it does not seal. Really should heat the pad not just the wire. It sounded too good to be true. Use a baggie clip and/or Duct tape.

Not worth the effort.

Unless I am a complete moron, this is yet another "As seen on Tv" products that just don't work.

Cutter. The best of the features, yet, still is awkward to use. Its easier to just get a pair of scissors.

Magnet. It works, but, does not hold much more than a business card.

Sealer. So, maybe I am a complete idiot and can't figure this out. Instructions are very vague, as one reviewer could not even figure out how to install the batteries.
Instructions, verbetum:
Install 2 AA batteries. Take the heat seal able bag and smooth out the top of the bags edges evenly to eliminate wrinkles. The insides of the bags must be able to touch one another. No food, dirt, or oil should be between the inner walls of the bag where the seal is to be made. Place the open bag to be sealed into the Salon Smart dealer TM. Hold the bag in one hand and th sealed in the other hand. Preheat the Smart dealer until it engages the Heat Pad. Hold the Press Bar in this position for 3 seconds, before you begin to move the sealer across the bag to be sealed as this prevents the Heat Wire, then begin to make the seal. The Salon Smart dealer TM only needs to be preheated one time per use. Use light pressure. Press don't squeeze.
How long does it take to preheat? Approximately. 3 seconds, or all of eternity?
Why is there not an indicator light to let us know its ready to use?
In video reviews, it looks to be instantaneous, but, in real life, it seems to be a very long time, and is still not heated.

Recommendation: Not fond of products that don't do what they say they will. At this point, this is one of those products. As a result, this is NOT recommended.
15/100. Ill give it a generous 15 out of 100 points, for the concept, the cutter, the magnet (albeit a weak one). As far as a sealer? I can't see it

Nice idea poor implementation
