I have a lot of physical issues going on and they may get worse so I told myself it's time to get what I want and enjoy it. My New Samsung 40 inch TV is out of this world. There are things on it I'll probably never know about but that's just fine!!! The picture is amazing for the low price from Wal-mart!! Thank you God and Walmart!!

This TV, just like the Samsung line of TV's are absolutely great.
The colors, sharpness, brightness, sleek look and features are as expected from the Samsung line of TV's.
I have been buying Samsung over the other brands for many years, have had other brands as well and the Samsung always wins out. I would recommend this tv and you will not regret buying it.

Samsung UN40H5500AFXZA

We like this TV very much. It will take me a while to learn how to use the remote control because it is our first HD/Smart TV it has so many features that I am unaccustomed to having on a TV, such as Facebook, Twitter, email, just naming a few. The picture is amazingly clear and sharp with brilliant colors. We especially enjoy watching the 2014 World Cup matches and FormulaOne (F1) races. I recommend this TV to anyone considering buying one.

Great HD TV, our first

I purchased this tv for my wife and mounted it on the wall. She loves it as well as myself. She loves checking facebook and watching Netflix. When she makes it to the bedroom it is hard to get her to come down stairs now. There are features I have not told her about yet that I know she will also love. I have not found anything we do not like about this unit. Now I am thinking of purchasing two more, one for my daughter and for myself in my special room.

Previously, I had a 24" Vizio SmartTV that doesn't even compare to the quality of the Samsung 40" SmartTV. I returned the Vizio and decided on the Samsung with a bigger screen and am so glad that I did. For picture and sound quality, it can't be beat for the money I paid for it. I love technology so setting up this TV was a breeze. The Web browser is really cool even using the remote. Smart Hub houses the apps you can choose from such as: Facebook, Twitter, Amazon.com, Netflix, Pandora, Web Browser, etc. I can check my emails, browse the Web. I rented a movie and the loading time was fine but the Vizio's loading time was slightly quicker. Perhaps software updates will help solve this. No big deal, I'm just very particular. I've set my preferences for color to natural and cool temperature; and the sound to amplify; awesome TV so far. The photos attached really don't do the colors justice, you must see it in person. The remote was easy to set-up. My cable remote works well with this TV, too. I don't have external speakers but the sound quality as I mentioned above is great without it. USB port for pictures, videos, etc.; total of 3 HDMI plugins. I've only had this TV for 3 days and so far, so good! I love this TV and the screen size is perfect for my living-room. You can't go wrong with Samsung. I highly recommend it!

Samsung 40" SmartTV is tops in my book!

40" is a bit smaller than it sounds is the only problem I had. The smart TV system is improved over the one I bought last year and the color is amazing. Samsung makes great all around TV's.

Great TV

TV has a great picture. I love the functions, especially the wifi connectability. Product was received in a timely manner in good condition.

This TV is AMAZING when it comes to dumb TV aspects. The picture and sound are truly something to behold. For internal sound I am actually really surprised how good it is. Normally flat screen sound is garbage, but in this TV it is really excellent! The picture is strangely sharp, I say that because sometimes it is so sharp that it looks hyperreal if that is a way to describe it. Almost too good, as the lighting behind it moves with it, and it adapts to the room lighting to make it perfect.

That being said, the smart TV aspects still have a ways to go. The Netflix app has bugs to it, and the Samsung app store really leaves something to be desired, most apps in there are just a way to get you to spend more money on junk. You can't update the flash player or anything on the TV individually so forget getting on the internet to watch videos or streaming things of that nature until Samsung decides to update it on their side. There are some really neat smart features, but you need to be pretty tech savvy to get them to play nice, so be ready for that. Such as knowing what DivX DLNA to Win7/Win8 connections, etc. are.

Amazing dumb TV, smart TV aspects have a way to go

We aren't too savvy on setting things up so had a local person come in to set it up. Its everything we were looking for plus a whole lot more. It will probably only be used as a regular TV but has the options for internet hook up.

A great replacement for a 7 year old set

After having great experiences with 2 Samsung TV's and numerous reliable Samsung products, I hit this one. I returned this TV 3 different times because it got stuck on the setup at the same spot all three times. Two times Samsung support recommended sending a technician out to fix whatever is wrong with it. My guess is it has cheap, not well tested components (network) combined with buggy, not well tested software. I am very disappointed that Samsung would allow this TV to hit the market. Three broken TV's is more than a coincidence. I hope Samsung gets there act together on this TV because reliable products are why I buy Samsung. In the meantime, I would stay away from this TV.
