I've been using this phone for quite a while now & I love it. Took a while to get used to an all-touch model, but now I'm great at it. My only complaint is that there is no flash/bright for the camera. lots of internal storage!

Love this cell!

Samsung is well known in the electronic industry and its a name that stands for quality. This phone is no exception. What people have to understand when it comes to cellular phones you tend to get what you pay for. This phone gives a great deal for the buck but it is by no means the ultimate. When comparing this phone against others keep in mind of the price about $100 compared to $300-$700 and one has to ask are the other phones worth the price when one considers we make a few light calls (generally) and send text messages and for the most part that's it. Those who are "heavy" users tend to fair much better in the higher end phones but for the average person like students, mom and dad, grandma or grandpa or just a phone to keep in touch than this phone should be in the spectrum.

Whatever phone you chose it has to be the right fit for your life and use but if you are looking for an economical full feature cell phone then this is the phone for you.

Samsung Galaxy Discover

I bought this phone on a whim for our son, and hadn't read any reviews until after I bought it. I've had it almost a week, and have been playing with it and setting it up for our son for Christmas. I was worried it wouldn't be good, because of all the bad reviews.

I've found the opposite though. I charged the phone when I initially got it on Sunday. On Tuesday, I turned the phone on at 8:30am, and the battery didn't run out until about 1:30pm today (Friday). My iPhone battery doesn't last that long. I was playing online with the phone for a couple hours two nights, but otherwise the phone has just been sitting on standby. We have the mobile data turned off. It's exactly what we hoped for - a great little phone for our son to use in emergencies. Don't be afraid of the bad reviews!

Don't be afraid

This phone I like better than my buddies iphone 4s. My stepdaughter has a Galaxy 3 and Discover is just as good a phone as the Galaxy 3. Highly recommend this phone.

Great Android Phone

It's a solid phone for sure works great and can play games like Angry Birds and Jetpack Joyride. The biggest issue is the battery life isn't very good but you can fix that by picking up a new battery for the phone with more MAHs it's not recommended by samsung but from reading around it doesn't affect your phone so long as you keep the voltage the same as the current battery and your phone will last much longer. You can pick up another battery online for about 10 bucks sometimes. The sd slot is also great if you want your music there...when it's all said and done you have about 2.7gbs of internal memory for apps which is gravy for this guy.

Good phone....battery life bad

i couldn't figure out why the battery went dead so quick until I learned that if you keep the wifi on it keeps updating the apps on the phone once I turned wifi off when not using it works great and the battery lasts for days if not weeks,i was concerned at first now I love the phone

The phone itself is great, easy to use, good performance, decent internal memory and a micro sd slot for even more memory! Down side the battery is horrible I am having to charge it twice a day from the day I bought it and even on stand by it eats up the power! If it came with a good battery I would give it 5 stars but the way it is I only give it 3

Bad Battery Life

My son had this phone for nearly a year.  He had no issues with the battery life, but the WIFI antenna was weak.  He has since upgraded.  Good starter phone, but nothing special.

OK, but not great

This is a terrible phone, I found myself charging the battery 2 -3 times a day, it will not hold a full charge and does not go past 99 per cent complete charge. Even when im not using it the Battery drains..I got rid of it 2 weeks after i bought it. Stay away from it !!!!
