Easy setup

Easy set and sound it great!

I bought this sound bar as the speakers in my LED TV were so bad. This fixed the problem beautifully. Lots of volume as well and it comes with an optical cable. I am very happy with this product and a monkey could set this up.

Great Sound Bar

Lip sync is not possible over optical. My TV is Samsung but the adjustment of the delay is too course at the TV or sound bar. So have to use 3.5 mm cable which gives perfect lip sync. This also has the advantage of being able to use the TV control for volume. But, the optical cable has to be connected to tell the sound bar that the TV has been turned off. It does however take 25 minutes for the sound bar to turn off! Better than not at all. Then having the sound over the 3.5 mm aux input means that the sound bar display shows AUX as it only shows TV when using the optical cable. So a few issues. But the sound is great.

Great sound but some issues

I had read the online reviews and my assessment mirrors those who rated the system as basic but competent. Knowing what I now know, I would happily invest in an upgraded system. But for the price [I waited for a sale], this unit represents good value and noticeably enhances the audio portion of TV or DVD watching beyond that offered by the standard TV sound system.

A Starter Soundbar

Generally like the unit. Looks good and sound is okay. Good value. I use this unit with a Samsung LED TV and the optical cable interface. It would be nice if the TV remote could control the volume of both the TV and the Sound Bar simultaneously, or if the Sound Bar remote could do the same. Sound Bar remote functions are rather limited for controlling the TV. Performed the August 2013 software update, now the Sound Bar will randomly insert a 25 ms delay between TV and Bar sound when changing between TV channels. Query the Sound Bar, it says no delay, command a 25 ms delay followed by commanding a 0 ms delay and the TV and Bar sound will again be in sync.

Okay...but it could be better.

In my case I wanted something easy to install, no complications, fair sound, at a good price.
To be honest I tried before a home theater at a similar price and there was no difference in sound quality. I got crazy with all those cables and connections, so I gave it away and decided to go for a sound bar.

This item does the job, I love its simplicity, not a blasting realistic sound but enough for my needs (I can't have things at high volume anyway since I have picky neighbors), you can definitely hear some 3D sound, like sounds in the background vs sounds nearby on a scene.

If you are looking for movie theater realistic sound, not the item for that kind of expectations.

Easy to Install, Decent Sound, Good Price

Very happy with the product. Instruction wanting. Not clear for old folk. Had to go to a store to find out how to install and am still not sure it is correctly installed.

Good features.

We bought a sound bar and paid $170 with the tx on the website and we were delivered a child's toy worth $39...imagine the joy in our face. We live in the countryside and had to go to the store to explain the situation and get reimbursed after long minutes of *sweeping*. Really disappointing as experience, time and gas to throw out the windows.
