Ratings & Reviews+

Sanyo 55”Class 1080p LED LCD Smart TV - FW55C46F is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised!! Well....I have looked at televisions for months because I knew my DLP was on its way out and after researching in depth I can tell you that we are going to miss Plasma and DLP's for some time,I had narrowed my selection to a Sammie or a Vizio but for some strange reason when I seen the price on this 55 inch ,I said yeah,....why not?? I can give no reviews on the gaming value of this TV as I have never tried but I can tell you it is not a true 120HZ....it has a marketing scheme like Sammie did with their "120 Truemotion" catch phrase,Sanyo calls theirs "120 Brilliant Motion Rate".Now,for the review, the base stand is actually metal with a plastic stem, but is very sturdy and well designed, the TV itself looks to be built from quality and a very sharp looking TV,it looks like a Sammie 6200 series...BluRays and DVD's are amazing and the pic off my laptop through the HDMI is great as well, but what really has impressed me is the pic I am getting from my 480 composite connection from my satellite, yes,I am going to HD soon....bright and clear and not too soft, must have a pretty good upconvertor I would say.The on board menu is nice, clear and easy to use and also the software is fairly quick to respond. The remote is what I would call middle of the road, not super cheap looking but not super fancy either....has youtube, netflix and Vudu quick buttons.I have watched a few movies and have not noticed any blur, however, like I said I cant comment on gaming. If the the TV is as well built on the inside like it is on the outside,I feel comfortable of trouble free service but that's the gamble....it is way to early to tell.....hope this helps someone out there who researches stuff to death as much as me....lol.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great purchase after investigating many televisions we decided to the Sanyo FW55C46F. our research indicated it was the best to for the price, at the time we were purchasing. When we got it set up we were very pleased with the picture and the sound. we certainly would recommend this television to anyone looking for a 55".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied! I bought this tv 2 weeks ago and wasn't sure what to expect for the price. It is a third tv and is wall mounted in our main living room so I am happy that it looks great. The picture is very clear and the color adjustments are excellent. I am comparing it with with Panasonic Viera 50" plasma and my Samsung 60" 6200. I have not really used the Smart option so I can't comment on that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great TV Great TV but the smart part of TV does not support the app I wanted it to. So I had to invest in chrome cast. I should have researched it more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice tv for the price Bought this tv 25 days ago. We were upgrading from a 42" LCD and had never owned a smart tv before. Price was great. Out of the box it's very easy to set up. Had it up and running within 10mins of being home. Picture and sound were great quality. Last week out of nowhere Netflix stopped working. Our network was fine as we could still watch YouTube and connection was hardwired (wouldn't connect wirelessly from day 1). After trying every trick I could find online I finally called Sanyo. I was then directed to try all the tricks I found online. Still netflix would shutdown after loading a title. Her last advice was to download the software update from their website. When I looked up the firmware version update it was the same one already installed on my tv and was for a YouTube malfunxtion. So I returned the tv and exchanged it for a Samsung. Pros: easy to set up. Picture clarity and sound great. Dedicated netflix and YouTube buttons. Cons: volume bar blocked a portion of the screen while increasing/decreasing volume. Tv makes annoying startup noise that's very loud. Could not connect wirelessly. Netflix stopped working and no support from sanyo other than "we're sorry".

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A disappointment We bought this TV yesterday thinking it was a great price and most reviews were very good. Setup seemed simple but we found the screen quite susceptible to glare from windows. Picture was acceptable but not great. Tried some manual settings which were an improvement but still not terrific. Some manual settings kept returning to default. Was unable to access Smart capability because it couldn't find my wireless modem even tho it did on setup. Too many disappointments so we exchanged it for the same size Samsung and we are very happy. $300 more but worth it in the end.
