[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a SunJoe years ago and the handle broke and I just never replaced it. I ended up buying a Walmart lawn mower which took me hours to cut the yard because the batteries wouldn't stay charged. However I thought it was doing a good job for the most part until 2 weeks ago it gave out on me and just wouldn't hold a charge at all. So I bought another son Joe and was instantly reminded why I love this lawn mower. people talk about the size but it can handle a lot and it gets the job done really quickly so I'm able to cut my front and backyard within an hour versus a whole day. It also cuts the grass in a way where I don't have to rake anything and I'm cutting tall grass with it just on the middle setting so it gets it really low but still leaves it beautiful and healthy I'm glad I'm back to this one!

Best lawnmower ever

I have a larger lawn that I cut with a lawn tractor. I bought and tested this unit on some winter edging and leaf bagging, and it worked as expected. I will be using it on a regular basis to trim around adges of the yard and plantings where the larger mower will not work. It is much faster than using a weedeater where there are larger areas where the lawn tractor will not work. Light weight, turns easily, and cuts grass and weeds well.

super impressed with this little guy we call ours Kermit my yard was thick and wet it cut flawlessly I couldn't be happier with this purchase it is a must buy and I have a pretty decent size backyard and I have a normal size front yard but it cut flawlessly you will not be disappointed I definitely recommended

this thing is a beast

I am very pleased with my purchase. I have about 2000 square feet of backyard that was mostly weeds. The winter rains gave it the boost to grow to about 8 - 12 inches tall before I was able to get out there to mow. I set the Sun Joe mower to its highest height, and it ate its way through it with no problem. It even cut through cheese weed with stems that were almost an inch thick! The next mow I set it to its lowest height, and now the backyard is ready to be tilled up and turned into a vegetable garden and drought-friendly landscaped area. 

The clippings bag is a bit small, so it has to be emptied fairly often, but is very easy to remove and reinstall. The cutting width is narrow, but that is great for a situation like mine, where trees are sitting near the fence; the Sun Joe fit right in between and makes the mow job easier.

The best thing about this mower is not having to fill it up with gas and oil. No messy trip to the gas station. No worrying about gas spilling out of the gas can into your car. And no worrying about where to store gas out in the garage.

I would highly recommend this mower if you have a smaller area to be mowed. It works great!

Great Electric Lawnmower

Love this little mower. Was skeptical about how well an electric mower would do cutting grass. It exceeds my expectations. Choose electric so I wouldn't have to worry with oil changes and buying gas for a gas-powered mower. I mow my lawn once a week, and I love the way it looks. 

Be careful though about mowing over twigs and sticks. I have unknowingly broken off a piece of the plastic under the mower. I also mow my yard without using the grass catcher. It fills up so quickly that I spent more time bagging grass clippings than I did mowing - and I filled 11 trash bags. Definitely didn't want to deal with that every week.  Works like a charm. Proud of my choice!

Great mower

The manual of this item is wrong because there's  no adjustment on how high or lower you can cut the grass its  only set to obe setting which is high setting .

The mower cuts well. This is my second electric mower. The first one functioned for years!  But this one's motor is running loud. I am not confident that it will last for 3 months. As I recall, my original one ran very quietly...That was an excellent feature because I like to cut grass in the late evening. Now, I'm afraid that if I use it late evening, I will be cited for violating the nuisance(noise) laws. Please note: I have purchased Snow Joe products for years & have generally been pleased. But this time...

Is it me?

I don't know if my grass was just too long but I was super sore after struggling to push this along my small front yard. I feel like u have to have a super flat yard in order to get a nice cut and the grass has to already be well manicured. It'll work better for upkeep but for a heavy duty job it's a struggle.

Not for heavy duty but it works

It has 3 height adjusters and I like to mow my grass on the shorter side so I don't have to mow so much. However, on the lowest level you can't even push the mower(didn't have it plug in yet, was testing the different push levels for comfort.) So I changed it to the middle level. It seemed to push okay until I plugged it in. I didn't even get a 1/2 strip done in my small yard and the mower stopped. I tried restarting it to no avail. Thought I burned the engine up because of it not working. Found out it tripped my braker, so I put it up to the highest height and switched my breaker back on. Was able to mow the rest of my yard without any problems, but was not happy that I have to mow it at highest height. I also do not like the plastic wheels on it.

I took the mower out of the box, put it together, plugged it in, started it and just started pushing it when it shut off and would not start again. Did basic troubleshooting; checked outlet, checked cord, tried different outlet, tried different cord, checked for blockage, nothing worked. Had to return.
