Although the package reads a chain breaker is required (and I had) it really is not required as long as the chain length is exactly the same chain length you are replacing. I got lucky and did not need to adjust the chain length on my 26" hybrid so all I had to do was use the clip in the master link and some pliers to fasten it closed. This chain is heavy but very smooth. For the price, the weight seems appropriate. You can spend more and get a lighter one, but this one is perfect for my Fuji Cambridge hybrid bike. I have a 12 speed and this chain worked perfectly. Although the chain has some lubricant on it, I used extra chain lubricant on it to ensure it was protected. I am very happy with it and would recommend it for entry-level and basic bikes.  There are higher-quality chains out there, but you will spend much more for them. This is adequate for my 26" bike. It has an easy to spot gold master link too which is a great help. You will need a plier tool if you don't have a chain breaker tool to install.

Good chain. The quick link works well. I've clipped it on / off about half dozen times.
I got it set up on an old Japanese trail bike as a 1x9. Runs through the derailleur just fine.

Easy to install. Clicking the pin was a bit challenging because the pin and the hole was not in line. I believe it was designed that way. But it would be nice if there was an instruction on how to do it. If you keep trying, you will succeed so that is why I gave a 5 start.

The bike chain js good quality and the process of resizing annd installing the new chain went OK.  But the instruction sheet said that I should hear a distinctive 'click' when the master link was in place.  I got a 'click' sound but it wasn't loud or distinctive.  I installed the new chain about 33 miles ago, with no problems.  I am, however, a little uncomfortable since I am not sure that the master link is properly installed.

I would buy this product again if I need  another chain.  I feel that I could be successful with the install process now.

Good product at a good price.

Works great though it took longer than 2 days to ship. You only need a chain tool if you need to shorten the chain though. The main connecting link just clicks into place by hand otherwise. Would be 5 stars if not for the shipping delay.

great item, took a week to ship though

The description states:It includes 112 links and one master link for an easy installation without the need for tools. Yet the package received clearly states tool needed. I would rate it lower but I can't blame quality of the chain on the difficult install.

Inaccurate install description

I was not satisfied with this product. The end link was of poor quality and I had to buy a repair kit to replace the link that was damaged when I used the chain tool to close it.

Use better quality resources.

I requested Bell Links 500 5/6/7/8-Speed Chain. I was shipped Bell Link 500 10-24- Speed Bike Chain which is the "WRONG SIZE". This was very disappointing  and time consuming.

I had rusty chain after the winter months, so I decided to get a new one. Picked this one, thinking the quick link design would add easier installation... Boy was I wrong. The directions say to gently apply pressure to the quick link plate until a clicking is heard and walla... If only it were that easy. First I tried adding light pressure, no good. I continued to add medium, then hard, and finally teeth wrenching pressure... Still no good. I thought maybe, a pair of pliers might do some good, still couldn't get this quick link to snap into place. So I ended up taking it to 3 different bike shops, none of which could snap this quick link piece into place. Ended up just buying a new chain and using this one as scrap.

Quick Link.... There's nothing quick about it.
