I Like my new computer. Its nice to use and is easy.
It had an easy set up. 
i needed one as my last one stopped working. Glad I bought this! Great Price!

I think that previous negative reviews on this laptop were from people who are not very familiar with computers. This is a great laptop. It's fast, easy to set up and easy to use. The power button is small, but most laptops are like that now. When the computer is starting up, you will not hear a loud fan like you did with older laptops. It's quiet, but it starts up quickly and you do not have to press the power button multiple times like previous reviews have said. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. This computer is great for home or school use. It is not a gaming computer, so it won't perform like that, but it's great for a home office or a student.

Great purchase!

I was a little cautions about buying a $300 laptop. My last laptop was an Acer gaming laptop (I am not a gamer) that was fast and lasted 6 years. I was worried this laptop would not live up to the speed I was used to. Surprisingly it seems to be no different than the Acer for my use. It is also much lighter and thinner.

Great Deal

I liked that it was on sale for $329 and retail was $600. Amazon wanted this same laptop for $490 before taxes and adding on protection plans! 

I also enjoy the new windows 11 operating system. I enjoy the i5 processor. Fast laptop with enough memory for myself. I also like the full keypad. Reminds me of my old HP but of course a more modern and sleeker version! It doesn't have touch screen but that was not a buying factor for me. But of course after you add a protection plan the price adds up. It's an efficient laptop great for students!

Great for students

i love that it boots up so fast! its light weight too. it perfect for what i need. i would recommend it for personal/ student use. its got plenty of storage on the harddrive and plenty of memory to multitask. the battery is long lasting too! its a great buy!

I bought this computer so that I could work from home on certain projects. The computer is fast and efficient even when I have 4-5 Chrome windows open and am tasking or searching in all of them over the course of a job. The set up was simple and it was ready to go within about 15 minutes. I would definitely buy this computer again.

Fast and efficient for what I need

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the HP laptop and had been waiting for this one to go on sale and when it did, I immediately ordered it and got it within two days.

The battery life is TERRIBLE. I had a full charge went to a 1 hour class and down to 50%. All the power saving suggestions on but still not lasting more than 2 hours on a good day. Turning it on takes a few mins which is not ideal as a student.

The build quality - especially the keyboard - is pretty bad. Keyboard flex is terrible. Also, the description said it had a backlit keyboard and it does not. The 8gb of RAM is kinda paltry for today, but it should be easily upgradable. The 12th gen i5 is good and the m.2 SSD is good. They're basically why I bought it. But THERE IS NO BACKLIT KEYBOARD as the description says and the keyboard is just bad. I'm giving a 2 star review because of the lie in the description and the bad build quality. But, as I said, the specs are good for the price, especially on sale.
