After my hair stylist suggested buying this product, with the intention of giving me the optimal curl using both diffuser tools. Not only am I able to achieve the curl from fairly straight hair, but the dryer is quiet, lightweight and drys my hair in minutes. Also, it shuts down when you lay the dryer down and back on when you lift to resume your drying. Great product.

I'm sold!

Dyson

This hairdryer is a super duper bit of kit. It does just what you want, adjusting heat without you even having to think about it. It's stylish, compact lightweight, balanced in the hand and QUIET the sort of quiet that other manufacturers can only dream of.  For the first time I've got a hairdryer which happily lives on its own stand rather than falling off the table or kicking around my feet. If you can look past the price, this hairdryer is the very best.

Super duper bit of kit

It's great, but I don't know that I would buy this newer version over the cheaper older style again.  I had my original one for 8 yrs and it kept shutting down and wouldn't stay running.  I thought I would try this newer version with a much higher price tag.  It is pretty, not sure I notice any difference though.

Same as original in my opinion

I purchased my Supersonic Nural hair dryer a few weeks back.  This is actually my second Dyson Supersonic hair dryer … years back I purchased one of the first-generation Supersonic hair dryers and immediately fell in love.  The Supersonic Nural keeps my hair healthy … dramatically reduces split ends and heat damage.  The body design makes this dryer very maneuverable.  The attachments are easy to put on and take off.  The fact that the dryer powers down when placed on the countertop is brilliant … so much easier than to have to keep turning it on and off.  I love the built in memory for  each of the settings for the attachments I use.  It's easier to keep clean with the improved filter.  Once you start using a Dyson Supersonic dryer, especially this Nural, and you become hooked !!

My second Dyson … the love affair continues !!

This model is significantly better than the first one and delivers all the performance features advertised by Dyson, including the Neural sensor. However, before making a purchase, I highly recommend verifying the product's origin in person by visiting a Dyson store. This can make a substantial difference in the quality of the device.

Nural Hair Dryer

So far my new Dyson has been working great! I chose the dark blue with the bronze tone handle and it is just beautiful. I love the matching box for the dryer and all the attachments too!  I also love the 3 air flow settings, as well as having the 3 temperature settings. If I had to change anything though, it would be to be able to use the heat settings as I need them for when I choose to use the scalp guard setting.  I noticed I can only have the lower temperature on to use this feature. I was hoping that I could use this feature even with the highest heat setting and that if it got too close to my scalp, the temp would temporarily decrease, but that is not the case. So I am not using the scalp guard setting to style my hair because I need high heat to make it curl/bump the way I want it.

Very nice hair dryer

This is my second Dyson hairdryer. I had purchased the original one in 2016, 10 years, almost to the day, later it finally died (RIP, it came with me to my wedding in 2019 and was a member of my family lol). I loved that hair dryer, so I immediately purchased the equivalent option. 

I'm having a bit of a regret, it's just not as good as the original one. It's slow to start, it gets extra hot when there are attachments on it, the function of cooling down when it gets closer to your head is great in theory, but it just makes it way less powerful. I'm finding that it is taking me an extra 5 minutes to dry my hair because the power just is not the same. I also am finding that this one is damaging my hair more. The airflow seems to be different so maybe it's user error on my part, but this simply is not the hair dryer that they used to make. 

It's also MUCH louder, and sounds like a jet engine at times compared. The old one had a solid noise to it, but it is nothing like this one. 


If you never had the OG one, you'll love this.

It's just not as great as I had hoped

I love the power and that is dryer is so ligthweight howver, it leaves my hair very freezy, wish I could return it for that reason but it is too late to return.

As an African-American with 3B and 3C curls, I found that the white comb was not helpful for me The supersonic neural hair. It left my hair very frizzy and so much power from the device caused my ends to become very frizzy even when I used a frizz protectant product. Went back to my old blow dryer.

Very disappointing. I hard to believe people pay full price for this. It's an excellent example of taking a simple concept, adding complexity, introducing new problems and then only solving 80% of those problems.
It will think it is ‘put down' half way through being used, takes heat away when you want it most pretending to protect the hair, it's heavy and the handle is literally a straight pipe - zero ergonomics on the buttons or the grip. The short barrel at the top reduces your control significantly - while putting out more air than most this is not a good thing.
Disappointed and I have regret for paying so much for more problems.
