So far the product is awesome. It's only 7000btu and online said I needed twice that to cool my
900sq ft mobile home, but I leave both bedroom doors open and it's literally icing out the whole house and it gets down to the 61 it says it can then shuts off by itself till it gets warmer and kicks back on. As long as it keeps up like this for 5 years or so, best purchase I've made in air conditioning

Its a great compact size and super strong, cools quickly. Thinking about ordering another one for the bedroom, because it was such a great price!!

Compact and strong

So far it does quite well cooling my small studio apartment.  It can be a bit loud on high, but it has two fan speeds so I often put it on low fan while I am sleeping and it's fine.  The thing I like most is the built in water evaporator, you really only need to empty the tray very occasionally because of humid days, so far I haven't emptied it once yet.  Overall I am quite happy with the air conditioner.  It's not really 10,000BTU, just like all ASHARE BTU ratings that is under optimum temperature and space, the official SACC rating is 7000BTU and that seems far more accurate.  Overall it's a great budget portable air conditioner, and I like that the unit is a bit smaller than my old one and less bulky.

The only problem that I have for this AC unit is that it's a bit louder then a fan. I read a review that it wasn't any noisier then a fan. 
Otherwise it's great!

Pretty good unit in bedroom

It's a compact unit. Chills my living room just fine, the fan setting is useful as well. I got it on sale , I got my money's worth. Not sure if it's worth the full price. Time will tell.

Nice little unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I love about this unit is how easy it was to install. All the parts fit together very well and better than the last portable AC unit that I had. At 50 pounds in weight, I felt it was something that I could lift and assemble myself. The complaint that I have is that the instructions made no mention of where to put the screw. Fortunately it seemed obvious after staring at it for a bit, but I like it so much more when the instructions are complete and clear. The second complaint would be the energy efficiency rating being 6.7, which is considered very poor. I didn't check into this before I purchased because my plan is to use this only overnight in my bedroom. So I will be running it for about 7 hours during the two hottest months of the summer. I don't feel like the EER rating will break my bank. If you plan on using this for a daytime room that could up to 16 hours of use per day, this would be a horrible choice. As far as performance goes, I'm giving my review before actually running it overnight. It appears to be working good and I have confidence that it will perform well. I trust the Costway name. Here's to happy sleeping!!

Easy to assembly, EER of 6.7

Have to figure out how to make it work best for you but it does cool very well. The air vent is the hardest thing to figure out how to position the unit.

Not as advertised

After 14 mos of using this model  the on and off button stopped working and it wouldn't turn on at all
I contacted Costway and they said the warranty had expired.  They offered me 20% off any parts I ordered.  Like I knew what parts I needed.?? lol. Very disappointed in this Company. Would never buy a Costway product again!

Cost way doesn't stand behind their products
