It so far has been a good unit.  Haven't had a dehumidifier last more than a few years so we' ll see. I do like the Wi-Fi features in which it notifies you that the bucket is full.

I used to think my house was just “naturally humid.” Turns out, I was living in a mini rainforest. Humidity was over 60% on a good day, the air was sticky like syrup, and my AC was out here gasping for air like it just ran a marathon.

Enter this dehumidifier: the MVP of my three-level home. I slapped it on the middle floor, and boom within 24 hours, the humidity dropped to a cool 45%. It pulls about 6 gallons of moisture out of the air every 12 hours, like it's on a mission.

Now my AC is relaxed, the air is fresh, and I'm not sweating just from existing. This thing didn't just help my air quality, it gave me my house back. If your home feels like a sauna, get this. Your lungs (and your AC) will thank you.

A product that really works!!!

So far the unit has worked flawlessly. The final decision will rest on how long it lasts. That is why I chose to get an extended warranty as I have no former experience with this brand. Consumer Reports did give this manufacturer a good rating. Time will tell.

I received my dehumidifier the next day from Walmart - nice!  Unpacking and setup was  very easy and instructions clear, the controls intuitive.  My unit started removing basement humidity within 30 minutes of receiving. The pump, gravity drain, and internal collection pan modes all worked perfectly - I checked each one!  If I have any complaint, the unit could be a little quieter but, in fairness, it's quieter than the older units it replaced.  

I'm so impressed with this unit I bought a second one!

A Definite Upgrade to My Old Dehumidifier!

This machine is pretty bulky and heavy but man does it pull moisture out! Our home began having higher than normal humidity levels after getting a new metal roof. We decided to get a dehumidifier to help our A/C unit out in pulling out moisture until we can get the contractor out to get better ventilation. This thing is super easy to setup and has been running non stop since we started it. So far it's completely filling the tank with water every 10 hours! 😳

This unit works well in my basement. However, when I read all of the warnings it appears that:
1. You need to plug it into a single outlet receptacle. I need to get an electrician in to add one because all of my outlets are double receptacle outlets. 
2. You cannot have it near electrical items that start and stop which can cause arcs. This makes it tough since I have a hot water heater, heat pump air handler unit, sump pump, freezer, and well pump in my basement. Technically I cannot get it far away enough from all of them. It appears that in the move to "Green" appliances the manufacturers switched to a highly flammable refrigerant. So, if there is a refrigerant leak there is the potential for a fire.

It dehumidifies my basement really well, BUT...

Good value for money.  Could use a better drain system. Bucket small and hose for continuous drain leaked a bit. Probably because you just push it in and there is no washer or anything holding it in place. Bumped it and it loosened up. Tada…small leak

Good value for the money

It's too soon to comment on reliability. It has been working well for the first week.

It's in our basement with a hose drain to a sump and has been running continuously to effectively reduce the humidity. The reservoir seems small if we didn't have the hose drain.

The app is somewhat difficult to set up and not particularly well designed.

It is pretty loud and cranks out a lot of heat. The pump hose is supposed to be disconnected after emptying which  makes the Bluetooth controls and self pumping function a bit useless.

50Pt Dehumid.-Doubles as a noisy heater

It's like having a heater on, and it's very loud. I live in a humid and hot climate, FL. I wanted help lowering the humidity in the house to try to reduce mold.  Unfortunately, this expensive machine alao acts like a heater. it loudly blows a ton of hot air into the room, heating up the whole house.
