My 11 yr old son needed a bigger thermos than our old Foogoo(10oz). I am so happy with this one because not only is it larger but seems more durable and keeps food warmer than the Foogoo(which is also made by the same company). The spoon that comes with it is also a great feature. I alway boil water in our electric kettle and pour it in the thermos to preheat for about 5mins. Then I put in the boiling hot food around 8:30 or a little earlier. My son says his food is hot when it's lunch time at 12:30. I have no doubt it will still be hot at an even later time. You cannot beat this price either. That's why i ordered from Walmart versus Amazon prime which would've sent it in two days. It was worth the wait.

It is bigger than you think or should I say it holds more than I thought for it's size. It fits well in the lunch box and the hidden spoon in the lid means no more plastic spoons breaking. We heat up home made soup in the morning for our kids and it is steaming hot still at lunch time. Our kids take it to school and it being none breakable is a relief too. Compare to others this one is also dishwasher safe so no more washing the others by hand.

Thermos worth getting

I purchased this product because my son's school would no longer warm up his lunch. He is 4 years old. I usually heat some water up on stove top and microwave  his food. I pour hot water in thermos container and let it set with top screwed on for about 1-2 minutes then empty water out and hence pour warmed food from microwave in cup. Has been working great. Container says it keep food warm 7 hrs...not sure if it's 7hrs but I get his food ready about 630am and he normally eat lunch around 11-1130a and it still warm.

It states keep hot foods hot for 7 hours and cold food cold for 9 hours (if I remember correctly) and it's the truth!

I warmed some soup on the stove top, and put it in this Thermos.

Then I put it in my daughter's lunch box.

The outside of the container is completely 100% cool to the touch.

She has a severe food allergy to nuts, and so she can not eat, drink, have snacks, or have any meals provided at her public school, and

I really wanted her to be able to have a nice, warm, hearty, bowl of beef and vegetable soup by Campbells that she loves!

Anyway, lol, she came home from school and complained that the soup was too hot to eat at lunch time, even though I had put it into the container very early into the morning when I first woke up (two hours before school even starts)!

Very impressive!

Absolutely Excellent Quality!

Tired of the same old thing in packed lunches, but nervous about using plastics to put ultra-hot things in, I decided after reading reviews to give these a try. These work great for my kids' lunches, they keep things hot, and they are a great size. Plus, their stainless steel construction gives me nothing to worry about and will make them durable and long-lasting. Glad I spent the money on this purchase.

These Work Great!

I bought this Thermos for my husband, as he doesn't have a microwave in his work truck and I wanted him to be able to have something warm to eat with his lunch(especially living in Chicago during the winter). I packed his soup in this Thermos at 0600 and he didn't eat his lunch until 1400, and when he told me that it was STILL WARM, I couldn't have been happier!! I am now going to order him the bigger size and give this one to our youngest, so that she can have a warm lunch in school.

Don't know why I never thought to bring my lunch like this before. Now I'm using this product every day and I can always count on it staying warm. Easy to wash too! Although, if the spoon was a spork I think this product would be beyond perfect!

Excellent product

I am a ski instructor at Eldora Mountain Resort, just west of Boulder, CO. I have used this Thermos product for a number of years. It keeps soups, chili, etc. hot from 5 AM through mid-day in cold, winter conditions at 10,000 + elev. in Rocky Mountains.
This is 2nd one I've had.  I broke the outer casing/seal of the 1st one, when it was dropped in  rugged, rocky terrain. 
This is a good product for a reasonable price.

Thermos wide mouth 16 oz vaccuum bottle

For some reason, this great little thermos was hard to find locally, rather than having to pay shipping charges. But, it is worth the trouble to find. I just wanted to take soup to work to have with sandwiches, etc. It's just the right size for that and does a fine job keeping the soup hot if you put boiling water in it, heat the soup well, then put in the thermos. The cap isn't really big enough to eat out of, so I take a separate bowl for that. And, it's made for adults who don't want Hello Kitty or juvenille graphics on the outside. Great value for the price.

I haven't replaced this item yet but I returned to the store because the spoon was missing.  The item itself was nice.  Hoping to update you fully once I purchase it again.  Also this item wasn't package so maybe someone in that store thought they could move it quickly without checking the item out clearly
