Purchased for donating to local ChristmasToy Drive! This is a great set for all ages! My grandson 7yrs old has this set and he loves it and so does his older sisters (9 %26 11). Keeps them busy for hours. Day after day!😀....this set is really great for kids that want to create, play with their creation, then pull it apart and make something new....lego brand is the best brand that i have tried....They stay together much better for kids while playing with what they make!

I bought this toy for my boyfriend's son and he told me I was the best. I just thought I was buying just a regular  ol toy for the kids to play with but I mean I took as a great gesture for him to say. He's 4 so of course he loves toys. 😁

What can you say about Legos. It's got a great storage box, big enough to handle more sets of Legos. It's a creative toy, requires imagination, and great fine motor skills for little ones.  My 4 year old granddaughter loves to play with them.  The best part is the adults around her play with them, too.   I highly recommend this starter set for any person young or old who enjoys creativity play.

Essential starter set.

LEGO is always a great choice.  This set is good for creative play.  It has many wheels and axles to build cars and other vehicles.  These type sets have more bricks for your money and support a collection of other bricks.  As a container it is not that great as the lid doesn't stay on so well.

Love my LEGO

This is a very good choice as a gift for 4-6 yrs old. There are several small items that they can build. Kids can be creative and think of something completely new to build as there are many different types of pieces. Its not like you can only make one thing and there isn't much to experiment. Best part is that it has a storage box too. helps to keep kids room clean.

I thought it was rather odd when searching online I didn't see a whole lot of Lego sets that weren't something specific you had to build.

I wanted just Legos for my girls to explore their creativity and have a nice quiet time. 

I went to the store and found these and then scanned them as I was checking prices during the Black Friday sale. 

I'm not sure if this was marked as a black Friday item, but I realized upon scanning it, that it was at least half the price compared to what was advertised on the shelf. 
So I put it back and went home to order instead. 

Although I do wish it had more Legos as the box is only about half full; my girls are loving it. 

My six-year-old has been making all kinds of things. She was especially excited about making flowers, cars, and trains.

Knowing this was coming in the mail today, we ran to Dollar tree to grab some bases that were only about $1.75 each. 

Overall, we are very happy with this set and the deal for the bases at dollar tree.

I am excited for my husband to come home and show them how to build even further!

Perfect for Creative minds

This is a great gift for an older child. I got it during the holiday sales even before the big Black Friday prices, and it was still under $20. I love that it comes in its own storage box because a lot of the Lego sets that my son gets comes just in a cardboard box instead. There's a lot of pieces for the price, and it's not the teeny-tiny, normal sized Legos that you always find randomly throughput the house, stepping on. The pieces are bigger, so I like that too. For the price, this is probably one of the best toy gifts you can buy for a kid.

Loved this set. I like that there were so many options to build or to free build. Very good quality. A small improvement would be to have little compartments inside the holder for different color or sized Lego and a storage spot for the instructions to build the different projects.

Great Value

Be aware of how many blocks 400 is. These didn't even fill up a gallon size ziploc bag. There's no reason they need a giant container, except to trick consumers into thinking you're getting tons more than you are. Lego are great open ended play, but keep in mind I bought two of these for my kid for Christmas. The giant boxes looked cool under the tree, but all the pieces for both sets easily dumped into a gallon ziploc bag.

This is a great gift for older kids. There were many pieces that were really not appropriate for most four year olds without direct supervision and help with construction.  The box says classic medium which I took to mean medium sized and the pieces were very small. But overall the gift is reasonably priced and great for older children.
