Sojag Dakota 8' x 8' Hardtop Gazebo.

I received the shelter on a Monday and a friend of mine and I got it put together in 2 1/2 days, and that included doing bulk of the roof in the rain (however, it beats doing it in the hot sun with bugs).  

I absolutely love this shelter.  I had a canvas topped one that involved taking it down every fall and putting it up again in the spring, and the top only lasted for 3 years.  The cost of a new top is almost as much as the whole gazebo!

I am so looking forward to leaving it up all winter and using a roof rake to remove the snow if it's too much.  

The only down side was there there were 4 or 5 roof panel holes that did not line up with the supports,, but we drilled them out a little and trucked on.

Overall, great purchase.  I would recommend this product AND it was easier to put together than it looked!

I purchased this gazebo from Sam's club because they had the best price for this type of gazebo. It is all metal, and well made.  The contractor who assembled it for me admitted that it is the best gazebo he has constructed to date.  We are very happy and pleased.

Great Gazebo.

Really like this gazebo. The base however is not 8 feet, it is more like 7 1/2 . The roof spans 8' so I guess that's how it can be advertised as 8' x8'. Interestingly for me, this suited me well as it fits on my deck at a 45 degree angle.
It was relatively easy to put together except for the roof. It was a bit confusing.
It seems very sturdy and looks wonderful. The netting is good quality, just have to watch that the velcro doen't catch it.
Would recomend it.
It also was $650.00 less at Walmart than a competing hardware store.

Very nice gazebo, looks great and love that it comes with mosquito netting. Instructions could be more clear. Would be nice to offer a link to customers with more clear instructions and video on Sam's Club website. It gets pretty hot under steel roof.

Very nice

Checked everywhere and this was the best deal.  We wanted metal and no cloth cover because of the wind and sun in Texas.  Needed shade for our patio from the Texas heat and this does it.  Bought some Coolaroo sun shades for the east and west sides of the gazebo to let light through but block the sun as it is rising and setting.  The netting that comes with it does not block sun.  Took 2 people about 10 hours to complete and looks great.

Just What We Needed

First, this is a great product and we are very happy with it!
Second, a few things you might want to know;
1) The installation instructions are terrible! Not unusable but needs serious work. I have assembled way too many things in my life and this is about the worse I have ever seen.
2) Hole alignments are tough on a product like this for a million reasons so have a Drill and Bit ready to use to slightly enlarge the holes. Also, the spacers for the peaks need to be drilled out to provide some forgiveness.
3) Packaging was good inside however the exterior packaging REALLY needs to be beefed up on this product. Lots of minor dings and dents that would have been prevented with a better exterior box.
4) It took me 3 days off and on to do the installation and I did 95% of it by myself. I just wasn't in a hurry other as I could have gotten it done in 12 hours easy. Only needed the 2nd person for some troublesome bolts/nuts and couldn't reach top and bottom at the same time.

Net, decent product for the money, need patience and I think you will enjoy for many years to come!

Love this Gazebo but...

Finally arrived and set out to assemble the new gazebo.  Had a very similar unit by the same maker that was damaged in a storm so I had been through the assembly process two years ago.   Went well other than the 100 degree temps until I got to the roof panels.  Bigger challenge than the last style I had.  One thing I learned is the plastic supports that go in the ridges are a real pain in the middle of the big panels...solved the problem on the last quarter of the roof by using double stick tape to put them over the bolt holes making it much easier to coordinate and align....wish that would have been part of the included instructions.  If I had to buy this again I would pay for install...

Very nice gazebo...pay for prof install

It took my husband and father in law about 6 hours to put together. All screws lined up but 2. It looks great and is a great shade. The tin is kinda thin so I'm worried about it holding up. Hoping it lasts for years to come. I can't wait to get some outdoor furniture and put my lights on it.

The quality is good for the most part for the gazebo but when we received our gazebo one of the legs had a dent in it, and the style for the curtains to hook onto the leg posts could have been a lot better. As soon as the wind blows your curtains come off it's extremely irritating and it's starting to tear the curtains.

Gazebo review

Size advertized isn't actual size of Gazebo, about 1ft smaller. We assembled the Gazebo with advertized size in mind but learned quickly it was too small for our needs. Had to disassemble and order new.
