[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was exactly what I was looking for for a baby gate for the best safety for my kids at the top of the stairs.

I really like that there are so few pieces to put together.  It is tall enough to keep my jumper dogs from getting over it.  I did watch a couple of Youtube video's that really helped, and gave some tips for installing the mountings into the wall.  I really like this gate, and would recommend.  If you have a dog that can jump higher than 4 feet, I would also use other deterrents as well.

I'm sure this would be a five star rating for it's original purpose. It would be great for babies. (Toddlers might be able to unlatch it because it's fairly simple. We bought it to keep a Yorkiepoo and a cat in the basement. We had to weave screen through it twice and add a black foam piece to the side against the wall, as well as a bigger piece to the bottom.  (our little Houdini - Yorkiepoo has gotten through it twice but we've attached the bottom piece better and it works great. It's the easiest and best way we've found to keep the pets in the area where they're allowed. I would recommend this item.

Like the height

It is almost perfect for the large dog in the house. The only thing I wish is that it could swing open both ways. But it was easy to install and serves the purpose.

the clips for the top hinge seem to come off too easily when the gate is being lifted to open. we have had both of ours break within a month of each other. the replacement clip/top hinge assembly is nearly the price of a new gate. if you have teenagers who are a little rough, I do not recommend. We decided not to purchase replacement parts and simply attached a piece of wood above the hinge to act as a stopper. side note, seems to only be the tall black gate components that are weak. we have two standard height white gates that are a year older and both still work just fine!

This is the hardest gate I've ever tried to install!!! Yeah it seems sturdy when it's put together, but the locking mechanism is very sticky and hard to take apart when you want to go through it. The screws that it comes with strip INSTANTLY! Make sure you measure 15 times, just to still have the thing not line up. I will be returning this as soon as possible.

the latch being at the bottom and top makes this the most physically difficult gate to use. The installation was tedious.  This is nothing like the regalo we have had for 10 years.

the only part made out of metal is the main gate. the wall mounts are plastic and the coupler is too which was cracked and does not fit properly.  what a joke. don't waste your money or time

We were happy to get a gate that was tall enough. but by the time we were about to finish the install the SOLDERED piece fell off of it. we are returning BOTH and going with another brand. This is ridiculous. Also hard to install. Needed a drill to get the holes in.

Soldered piece fell off on last step

Broke at the hinge after one month, that's just fantastic isn't it? My 5 month old could have been seriously injured. The installation was a pain in the behind, not worth my time now I have these hideous screw holes in my entry way, with no gate!

Do not buy! Should be recalled!
