These shelves are constructed completely of a composite plastic material. They work great for storing lightweight hobby items, light books, towels, etc. These ship totally unassembled. They are quick and easy to assemble using a lightweight rubber hammer or some other lightweight hammer while using a small piece of wood or other material to spread the weight of the light blows to seat the tight fitting cylindrical plastic uprights. After assembly these are easily moved around and into position. If you have young children or elderly people around I'd recommend installing some type of anchor to the wall to keep them from being toppled over.
These are an excellent value for the money as they are very inexpensive and are great for storing and organizing lightweight items.

These little shelves were perfect for my needs.  The hold just enough to be useful, but are compact enough to wedge into a variety of moderate spaces. They were easy to put together and lightweight to move around.  The price was a total value as well.  Good job Walmart!

I was very impressed they were built very heavy duty for shelving and much stronger than the last set that I bought that was plastic these things are built very good and very easy to put together and they got here in a timely manner and they're a good price you can't beat them for if you need storage I got some great cloth done by 10 cubes to put in the shelves they look very nice and they hold all the stuff I need them to hold but the these shells would hold a whole lot of stuff they're worth it

these are very sturdy, though i wouldn't put anything heavy on the top tier because if left up there too long, the weight od the item or items will tend the bow the top area of the structure

Compared to Harts 4 tier shelving, it's very cheap on the moulding of the shelves.  Harts is thicker, stronger and very tight assembly.  I really like your smaller one as it was so quick and tightly assembled; very strong shelves.  So going up the next size, I expected the same quality and was disappointed.  Had to change what I was putting on the shelves as they started to bow down.  Big disappointment.

Not as easy to put together as they claim. Apparently I'm not strong enough to get the posts in the holes. My son got them put together but they were wobbly, so he got his rubber mallet and that tightened it up. That made them functional and safe, so overall a good value.

They're okay. Which makes the price a tad annoying. On the flimsy side, the holes %26 legs barely fit together - the legs aren't able to settle into their sockets, only a matter of milimetres. They topple over very easily during set up.
Once assembled I kept pushing on the top to assure those legs are *in there* before putting anything on shelves.
At the price, I'd look for better quality.. or dind a less costly version

Good enough

The instructions indicate this is a "tool free" install, which isn't true %26 may be a deal breaker for some people. The tubular supports do not "snap" into place as described. The circumference is almost the same size as the hole in the shelf corner, making it impossible to get them into place using just your hands. You will need to use a rubber mallet to force them into place. If you don't have a mallet, you'll need to use a hammer w/a small block of wood placed on top of the tube to prevent breaking or malforming the edges of the plastic tubes.

Once you get them put together, they seem to be sturdy enough. I am using them for storing small plastic totes which are fairly heavy, so I plan to attach them to the wall to prevent the shelf from tipping over. I was concerned the shelf may sag in the middle under weight, but that doesn't seem to be an issue due to the shorter width.

For the price ($45 a pair) I would absolutely buy them again. The only problem was the annoying assembly, but that was easily remedied on my end.

This is so difficult to assemble. You should just be able to insert the round pegs into the shelving but you can't. We've tried twisting it in, pushing it even hammering it in. I'm giving it to some young men who might have a torch to soften the plastic enough to get the pegs to fit into this ridiculous set. I'd return it but it's beyond the time period to return the shelving.

I do not recommend this shelving at all!

So I mistakenly purchased these thinking they were the same as what I had previously purchased. Come to find out the previous shows I've purchased were by HART not Hyper Tough. The shelf piece literally bowed while flat on the floor. Don't waste your money unless you're literally only putting paper towels or toilet paper on it because I wouldn't trust it to hold anything else.
