As someone who tried electric shaving 15 years ago and thought it was useless, I decided to purchase a 'new school' wet and dry shaver series 7. When the box arrived I was pleasantly surprised, as it has its own cleaner unit and took very little time to charge. I had a shave with it and was astonished at the result. It glided over the skin so easily ! I have very sensitive skin but it did not affect me at all. Well done Panasonic, mind you having bought the  razor, I am eating baked beans for a while as it was expensive !

Shaves my face well, especially at the neck, which was difficult for me. Very convenient to cut my favorites, because the razor is integrated. Even with a beard of a few days, shaving is easy and fast without pulling the hair, which was not the case with my previous razor...

For a quick and gentle shave!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my 2nd time trying an electric razor since trying to restart using electric razors as an 62 yr old male. This seems to it. I like the close shave it provides and being waterproof it's easier to keep clean.

This is a great razor!

I have been without an electric razor for far too long & decided to treat myself. I had forgotten just how convenient these were , not to mention the fantastic shave you get. Coupled with the self cleaning pod, it's shaving simplified. Fantastic product, well worth the money.

Shaving at it's best.

There is good points and not so good points. 
Here are some good points. 
Battery life is excellent,  it's very smooth on your skin and glides easily. It's nice and light but not so light that you think it feels cheap, that it certainly isn't.

Not so good points. 
I honestly thought it would be better,  the shave on the face it good, mostly.,  but it always leaves a bit to be desired on the neck area. It never seems to take enough of that you could call it a clean shave. The worse part is the heads exterior protrudings, they stick out too far from the rotas and make it difficult to access around your nose.  I'm honestly surprised it was passed by the designer,  more form over function. 

Overall,  I'm happy enough with it,  I got it on a promotional deal for a very reasonable price.  If I payed full price it would be a difficult outcome.

Mixed feelings,  some good some not so good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall a great electric shaver, gives close shave with minimal irritation. Cleaning is easier and more complete than previous Norelco shaver's I've had. I can get about three weeks of shaves before recharging is necessary, previous shaver's I've owned would go 5 or 6 weeks. The nose/ear hair attachment works but not great, a stand alone device specifically for that purpose would probably work better.
PRO's
Close shave, easy cleanup, adequate battery life.
CON's
Travel case provided not large enough to store nose/ear hair trimmer with shaver, need to have USB A charging block, not provided, should be USB C with block included. NOTE: Chargers for older Norelco shavers will not work with this shaver. Nose/ear hair attachment seems more of a afterthought than a real benefit.

Would be a great shaver with a few tweaks.

Philips Shaver Series 7000: A Review

The Verdict: My face feels like a silk sheet, but my bathroom looks like a crime scene for hair.

I bought the Philips Series 7000 because the box promised it was "designed for sensitive skin." Apparently, my skin is so sensitive that it cries during Pixar movies, so I figured this was the tech for me.

The Good:
The "SkinGlide" rings are no joke. They're coated with thousands of tiny glass-like beads that make the shaver slide over your face like a professional figure skater. It's so smooth I actually forgot I was shaving and started wondering if I was just massaging my jawline with a very expensive vibrating toy. It's also quieter than my last shaver, which sounded like a lawnmower trying to eat a chain-link fence.

The "Smart" Part:
It connects to an app via Bluetooth. Yes, a Bluetooth shaver. Because in 2024, if your grooming habits aren't being tracked by a satellite and converted into a bar graph, are you even living? The app told me my "circular motions" were inefficient. There is nothing quite as humbling as a smartphone judging your wrist technique at 7:00 AM while you're standing there in your underwear.

The Struggle:
While it's great for the environment, the "Eco-friendly" cleaning station is a bit of a diva. It requires a specific blue liquid that smells like a mix of "Mountain Breeze" and "Laboratory Accident." If you don't use it, the shaver starts looking at you with silent judgment. Also, it's a rotary shaver, which means it's great for the cheeks but turns into a high-stakes game of Operation when you get near the nose or that one weird spot on the neck where hair grows in three different dimensions.

Final Thoughts:
If you want to feel like you're shaving with a cloud that provides data analytics, this is for you. Just be prepared for your phone to tell you that your shaving "form" needs work.

Rating: 4.5/5 stars. (Lost half a star because it knows more about my face than my therapist does.)

The shaver is pretty good overall, the head keeps popping open while shaving. I tried the 9000 series and found not better than the 7000 series. I had to retire my old speed xl after 20 years of great shaves the campaign cable broke. The speed xl was a better shaver than any available in today's market. It was quiet and fast close shave.

Wet/ dry is great

For the high price paid, I expected a much better shaving experience from the 7000 electric shaver.  I have used the Rasor daily for over 6 weeks, followed advice from the App and  I cannot say that it gives me a satisfactory shave.  The end result is a stubbly chin and neck, which is something I never had problems with wet-blade razors.  I have a short term physical disability for which electric shaving serves a purpose, but I shall revert to traditional shaving once I'm fit and will dump the 7000 Rasor.

A disappointing shaving experience.

Firstly it does not give a good smooth shave like my previous Philips shaver which is disappointing for how much I paid for it. Also you can't shave all the Whiskers on your top lip up towards your nose at the blade does not go to the edge so you have to use another shaver.
