Thanks to AMD's CPU and GPU, this laptop is less expensive than competitors using the RTX4050. It has an at least $1500 build quality and a very well ventilated design. It's perfect for gaming at FHD resolution on high settings (without ray tracing enabled).

Best value under $1000 gaming laptop

I have been using the laptop for a few days now and am very pleased with my choice. First of all, its performance is impressive – the processor is fast and handles even the most demanding tasks, such as graphic design and video editing. The RAM and SSD ensure smooth operation without any lag.

The design of the laptop also deserves special praise – it's modern and stylish, with a high level of build quality. The screen is clear and bright, making work and media consumption an enjoyable experience. I also appreciate the comfortable backlit keyboard, which is especially useful when working in the evening.

Battery life is excellent too – it holds a charge for quite a while, allowing me to work without constantly being plugged in. Overall, it's a great choice for anyone looking for a powerful, reliable, and stylish laptop for everyday use.

Highly recommend it to anyone who values quality and performance!

I have only had my TUF laptop for a week and already I notice the difference between my older ASUS Republic of Gamers laptop and this TUF one.  
Pros…
- Start up is reasonably quick.  Still slower than Apple products but definitely faster x 40% than my 1 year old Lenovo tablet.  I can take a shower before that device comes online.
- The screen is clear, bright and colourful
- The gaming features are good.  The laptop moves quickly between frames. 
- The case looks sturdy enough except for the hinge. See Cons for more info. 
- The price was very good for the value. 
- It has expandable memory and storage.  This was a must when I was looking for a laptop. That and gaming performance and price.
- Comes with 2 USB 4 ports.  Hopefully more devices and cables will adopt USB 4.  
- I backed up my iPhone to it and the whole backup was smooth. 
- Walmart's has a Pay in 6 months program. That is very handy if you want to spread out your payments.  The admin fee/which is really an interest rate fee is around 12%.  That is so much better than credit card fees.  
- the background and taskbar displays have great colours.
Cons…..
- The laptop hesitates a bit when it moves between CPU and GPU.  The creators have added a popup that states it has been smooth so I guess that is what is expected.  
- Another USB 3 port would have been handy. 
- I am not completely sure if the hinge between the monitor and keyboard will last.  It seems a little weak but maybe not. 
- More tutorials would be good.  Maybe there are some and I didn't notice.

A16 really TUF laptop with AMD Radeon and Ryzen

I like the machine, it works fabulously so I'm very happy with my purchase. I only wish that ASUS had a recommended portion of their website that ''recommended'' other vendor upgrade products (ie. SSD's) that were compatible with their systems.
Other than that, thank you for building reliable, and excellent gaming systems.

Performance generally is very exceptional. Visually the screen is great for games and for desktop publishing. The only issue that stop me from giving it a 5-star is the brightness of the screen is somewhat lacking. I haven't tried but I don't think I could use this in the open under bright sunlight. Thought it is a tat heavy but the build is great and sturdy.

Exceptional gaming & desktop publishing laptop

Few issues, when it goes to sleep.you can only turn it on using the power charger cable. The key board keeps lighting off and on when it is on sleep.or stand by. And most importantly the wifi card is weak and lags. Everything else is excellent.

Asus tuf A16 2023

Ordered got cancelled multiple times. Contacted support, tried out what they said, got cancelled again for no good reason. It's a good laptop and I really wanted this for my son. Very disappointed with what happened.
