I bought this Learning Apple for my nieces while we were in GA last year. They were thrilled that it was an Apple and the Blocks were different shapes other than the regular shapes when you pushed the apple stem down. They learned that they had to really search for the correct Blocks to put in the irregular shapes that the apple made... There were regular shaped blocks as well as irregular shaped blocks. The colors of the Apple was so vivid along with the blocks!! I was happy with the purchase and they were happy with their new toy...

I bought this same Apple recently as a gift for my God granddaughter who LOVES Apples and she takes it everywhere with her. She tried to take it with her to PS one morning and her mom makes her leave it in the car so that it's there when she comes from school!!

LeapFrog Spin %26 Change Apple Shape Sorter

This toy works as a toddler toy, but really, it introduces some complex geometic concepts. No, I'm not kidding! As you 'spin' the top half of the apple, the top half of a shape moves onto the next bottom-half shape. This means there is a ton of potential shapes. The top half and bottom half work together to make a full shape. In order to fit one of the shapes into the holes, children have to decide WHICH top %26 bottom half to align to make that particular shape. Again, there are a LOT of different shapes.

This is a really clever toy to teach ATTRIBUTES in preschool and also to young primary school students. You can sort the shapes by color, for instance. You can also teach PREDICTION and SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY through this toy. Before the child spins the top half, model thinking aloud: "What shape do you think this top half will make if it is connect to that bottom half?"

The colors are bright and the apple itself friendly %26 inviting. Of course this toy also teaches fine motor skills, as well as some depth perception as they try out  a particular piece to see if it will fit inside a particular hole.

ROTATING pieces may make the shape fit, as well as creating 'new' shapes by spinning the apple. My toddler son likes to play with this toy independently, but also with adult help because he had progress farther in forming %26 finding the correct shapes to push each shape piece into.

The stickers are heat sealed or something like that, making them very strong. The toy is washable and strong, well-built especially in how half the apple spins to reveal new shapes. This toy would make a fantastic birthday gift, Christmas present, at-home learning project, or STEM project to do at a preschool!

Don't be fooled--1st Graders could benefit!!!

Bought this along with many other gifts for my 1 year old grandson and this is the only thing besides the electric ride on car I bought him, that he gravitates towards. He loves to spin the top and make the different shapes of all the blocks loves to try every shape in every hole even getting some correct after guidance for a day or two. Great learning toy that creates all different shapes not just the basics that come with other block sorter shape toys. Great fine motor skill practice, recognizing of shapes and colors and introduction to new shapes and sizes for broader learning and use of cognitive thinking skills.

This is a great gift to teach shapes . It is a unique toy and will allow toddlers to look at each shape and the designs.  The material is durable and the colors are bright. The apple itself is well made and spins.  Great long lasting toy.

My son absolutely loves the Apple toy. He loves being able to put the shapes inside and he loves all the noises and the music and it's just adorable to see him smile!

This is a great shape sorting toy for ages 2 and up. In my opinion, it'd be too difficult for kids under 2. All of the shapes fit well inside the apple for storage. It comes with 10 shapes. The top of the apple spins when you push down on the stem. Some reviews state that it's difficult to push down, but my 2 year old has no issues doing so. This is an activity she needs help with at the moment because of the added challenge of changing the apple to match the shapes. It's worth the money for a learning toy that isn't like others sold. It's not just matching shapes. It even took me a second to complete all 10 shapes. It's fun to make it into a game. It kept my daughter engaged, and she didn't get bored. She's asked to play with it again several times. So, if you want a toy that's going to require an adult's help at first, buy it. It's worth it. Also, it doesnt make noise or need batteries.

Great educational toy for ages 2 and up

I bought this for my 1 year old. You have to push down the stem to get the apple to rotate and my child was easily bored after about 5 minutes of having to constantly turn the apple to put the shapes in. The back part of the apple for the storage the door falls off constantly. Overall was not worth the money spent.
