I've used Cetaphil forever, but I'm trying to move away from moisturizers with hormone-disrupting phthalates and parabens, and I learned that elf uses none of those in their skincare or make up!
This is the first moisturizer I've tried from elf, and I love it! A small fingertip full can moisturize one leg from the knee down, and it feels great! I probably won't use any other moisturizer than this from now on.

I really loved this moisturizer. The gel texture is super light but still very hydrating, which honestly surprised me in the best way. It absorbs quickly and never feels greasy or heavy on my skin. I used it both day and night, but I especially loved it at night because it felt breathable enough to sleep in without feeling like my skin was coated in product. My skin felt soft, balanced, and comfortably moisturized by morning. This is definitely something I would repurchase and keep in my regular routine.

Perfect Summer Moisturizer

This moisturizer is AMAZING. I used it every night and even some mornings for a whole year before it ran out. It is the perfect amount of dewy and hydrating without being too thick or having a bad texture. I have sensitive skin and a lot of products make me break out, but the Gel-Yeah Moisturizer never caused me any problems and was the perfect addition to my skincare routine, while still smelling and feeling good. Once I ran out, I immediately reordered. I have other moisturizers and face creams and stuff (mostly from e.l.f. because they are just SO good) and they all are great, but I cannot wait for the Gel-Yeah one to arrive in the mail because it is simply too good to live without

Best I've ever used

I love the ELF Holy Hydration line. This water-based hydrating gel is perfect. Not heavy or greasy. Light and fresh feeling with a lovely, subtle fragrance.

I liked the light and oil free feel of this moisturizer. This is good for the warm summer months but it's not ideal for dry skin.
For mature dry skin it might not be enough but overall I liked it. I blend it with my sunscreen so it is good for what I need to to do.

Oil free moisturizer

Light moisturizer

Nice under makeup but leaves your skin lacking moisture in dryer areas. I have normal to oily skin. Oily areas like my t zone feel great but I find myself having to apply another moisturizer to my cheeks. Dries to a matte finish

I have really dry skin bc I'm aging. If I could afford I would spend more on the Neutrogena Hydroboost gel. A better compromise in terms of price is the garnier moisture gel. I wanted to try this Elf one to see how it compares to garnier and it doesn't compare well for me. It's an okay moisturizer but it you have really dry skin I would go with Garnier gel.

I've been using e.l.f. skincare for years and have loved everything I have tried from this line. Unfortunately, this moisturizer is not for me and just left my face feeling “wet” with no moisture at all. I'm not sure if it should be called a “moisturizer” if it's just making my face dry out 🤔
