I've always used high end hair care products, but I recently retired due to medical issues and my income is reduced. I was looking for a good quality product that's affordable. I found both with this hairspray! It gives me great volume, and holds well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this herbal essences hairspray a couple of weeks ago and I like it. This hairspray is lightweight and gives a nice volumizing lift. It leaves the hair feeling moisturized and soft. Easy to controlled for a nice hair finished. This is great and I huh highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a little while back for when I curl my hair and it works well. It helps my hair look full and amazing and it helps hold the curls for the day for the most part. Like after 8 hours, my hair is a bit flat but that's good enough for me.

Great volume!

Have used HE spray for years and loved everything about it.
Bought new spray 2 weeks ago and threw it out after 1 use. The new scent is HORRIBLE.  BRING BACK THE OLD SCENT PLEASE.  Believe me when I say Raid Ant Spray has a more pleasant scent!

Hey Clairol, in case you missed it (from these reviews and others found online) you “fixed” what wasn't broke. Nothing was wrong with the aerosol Lily of the Valley Set Me Up hairspray and many, many people (loyal customers) would like you to bring it back as it was.  Thank you.

It wasn't broke, why “fix” it?

I have fine hair and this was the only hairspray that worked to hold my bangs. With the new formula I can't even tell I sprayed my hair. My bangs immediately part in the middle and look terrible in the tiniest wind. The old formula worked great. The new one doesn't work at all. Bottom line. Very disappointed in the company.

They should not have made changes

Another P&G product that has changed their formula. Won't spray correctly.  You will 'ruin your do'.
The old formula was great and I liked the smell.  Bring it back.  I have now decided not to buy any of the Herbal Essences products or anything until I look at the reviews.  I can't afford to throw money away.

Don't buy - unless you can find the old formula

I don't know what's different but this no longer works well. I bought one and it shoots a steam thought it was the bottle, bought another and does the same thing. And it's so stiff, not soft touchable, that I'm afraid to brush my hair for all the breakage it causes. Definitely time to move on!
