We're those home cooks that have struggled with stainless steel in the past, but after educating ourselves a little and getting this quality 3-ply pan I think we might have figured things out. We love cooking with this pan, and if we avoid the "hotter than the sun" setting on the stove that we used to use by default, the clean up is pretty quick and simple.

This was the final piece I needed to complete my set. It is heavy duty and high quality. I paid 4x this price for a hexclad of similar size and this 8inch skillet is far better. I used the hexclad to cook eggs in and eggs stick to it. I cooked eggs in this and nothing stuck. You do need to heat it to the right temperature before cooking to keep from sticking but that is with all stainless steel cookware. Tramontina signature cookware is every bit as good as the higher priced sets. I highly recommend.

I like the quality of this pan. The ten inch size is just right for me. I have only two complaints. First, it is a little hard to pour cooked food from the pan into a bowl, partly because of the weight of the pan and partly because of the shape of the handle. (I have weak hands, so many others might not have these problems. I just scoop the food out with a spatula or a large spoon.) Second, the area around the attachment of the handle, inside and out, is a little difficult to keep polished, even using Barkeepers Friend and plenty of elbow grease. This, however, is more cosmetic than anything else. Apart from these minor problems, I find the pan heats up quickly and evenly on my gas stove. I have enjoyed cooking a number of dishes in it. Except for the areas around the handle attachment, it cleans up very nicely, and continues to look almost like new. It is an attractive piece of cookware, as well as being a useful addition to my kitchen.

Good pan

I’ve been buying Tramontina stainless steel pots and pans since before Covid-times. While they’re no longer quite as cheap as before, they’re still way more affordable than other so-called “name” brands. The tri-ply construction heats up quickly and retains heat, sometimes a little too well (I still can’t cook a perfect over easy egg on stainless steel). As long as you know how to properly heat and oil stainless steel properly, it’s just as easy to clean as non-stick but without the fear of peeling bits of Teflon off the pan.

This frying pan is amazing at this price. I almost bought another brand at more than twice the price. Both items appear the same and descriptions are similar. I am pleased how my food has turned out with this Tramontina.

I love the size, the weight of the pan, and really love the handle as well. I have cooked omelets, steak, and sauteed vegetables. Excellent addition to my kitchen.

Great skillets butter than some I have paid 3 times as much for wish I had tried these first, I could have saved some money but I guess we all learn from our mistakes.

Very impressed

I replaced Teflon coated pans with stainless steel expecting to spend a bit more time cleaning them. Used the new pans and the stains wouldn’t lift.  I didn’t use anything abrasive to clean them just soaked them with soapy water. Even tried using vinegar and water. Unfortunately the inside of the pans are cloudy and look dirty. Very disappointed.

You should know that the shape of the actual pan you'll receive is not what is shown on the website (see photo). Also, the bottom of the pan measures 10 inches, so it's essentially a 10 in. pan. I bought this to match the pans that come with the 12 piece set, but it doesn't match.
