Love love love this transition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Baby (7 mo) spends a lot of energy just trying to bring water up the straw. By the time it's out, baby usually loses interest and just uses the straw as a teether.

I tried sucking the tstraw myself and it is not easy. Once I switched to a normal straw/cup, baby knew how to use it after just 2 days vs 1 week with no progress with this bottle.

The only advantage is water doesn't spill out of the  bottle unless the straw is sucked. I am already invested in Dr Brown bottles so I just use the bottle itself for formula so the purchase isn't wasted.

Difficult to suck water out

The suction is not working there is no vent or hole like there needs to be. I've tried multiple ways to try and make this work. Maybe mine were defective
