Team Panasonic - F

I had a cordless iron years ago that stopped working and replaced it with a cheap, corded, low wattage, low-cost iron. I missed it. Now that I'm limited to chemical-free cotton and linen fabrics, I need a higher wattage iron to soften and get rid of wrinkles.Lightweight. A joy to use. I'm even ironing towels now. this iron does the job.

Cordless - a convenience I didn't know I needed

I wanted a cordless iron and this one had good reviews.  I was a little worried about whether or not it would get hot enough and whether or not it would stay hot long enough to not be aggravating.  I was pleased to find out in both cases that it got hot enough and stayed hot long enough for me to work with my quilting.  Occasionally, when I had it off the charger for longer than usual, it only took about five seconds to get back up temp when I put it back on the base (and this is when I had it on the hottest setting.  Having only three settings (low, medium, hot) is not a problem at all.  I have not used the steamer …. I prefer to use a spray bottle of water… but it appears really easy to fill and I think likely works well.  It has taken some time to get used to not being about to set it upright between ironing and I would love to see one that is made to allow that (for when doing small adjustments to the thing I am ironing) but I'm getting used to putting it in the cradle.  I am left handed, so the retracting cord coming out of the side it comes out of is a little trouble for the way I am using it.  I just used a 3M Command clip that I attached to the other side of the base and hold the cord there before it goes into the outlet, and that works fine.  I'll need to remove it if I decide to use the carrying lid.  If you are not left-handed, that last part may not make sense!  The 120 minute cut off is great (I tested it once and it worked perfectly) and the off/on buttons give me confidence that it is really off when I turn it off.  I highly recommend this for quilting.  If you iron a lot of clothes for a long period of time at once, it may get too cool for you after being off the base for awhile, but it is great for my needs.

This is my 3rd cordless from Panasonic. Love all the new features: wider, higher wattage, stays hot longer, has more weight, bigger water tank. Improvement can be made with the water tank - it needs to be a tighter fit - it shakes while ironing. Overall, it's a great purchase. I will never go back to a corded iron and Panasonic delivers on excellence- I've tried other brands and there is no comparison. Highly recommend.

Love the New Features

I've heard many quilters mention how much they like this iron, so when my old iron broke, it was an easy decision to get the Panasonic cordless iron. The base sits easily on the end if my ironing board and I really like the iron being cordless. It takes a minute to get used to “docking” the iron instead of standing it up, but other than that it's great. It stays hot, steams well, and is great for both quilting and everyday ironing. I'm a fan!

Great Iron!

Great iron, love that it's cordless and it gets hot enough. I like that the iron will stay hot for quite a while without shutting off.

Great cordless iton

Has lots of steam and I love the longer auto shut off time.  It doesn't spit or leak and since it's is cordless it's convenient to use for home and travel.

Best iron ever.

I love this iron. It makes quilting and iron enclose so much easier without having the cord to mess with. The water tank is big and stays filled for a very long time. I've had it a few months now and use it daily.

Best iron ever

The iron is nice, I love the longer shutoff time.  The wider plate is good and the ceramic coating wipes off easily. The water tank does feel less secure than my old NI-WL600 and wiggles a bit more but it does NOT leak.  I think I hold it differently because of the different size.

Good iron for quilters

I previously owned the 1500 watt stainless steel cordless iron.  I loved that iron, but it just did not get hot enough.  It quit when I cleaned it the last time.   I thought this one would be the answer.  I was septical about the ceramic sole plate.  I had reason to be.  It does not glide like the stainless steel.  It builds up static electricity and then whatever you are ironing sticks to the sole plate when you lift the iron.  What I wish for is a more powerful than 1500 watt stainless steel sole plate cordless iron.  AI could not find one for me.

My wish for a better iron

Iron doesn't stay hot when you do ironing on material for more than 1-minutes  very bad design. Even you have keep connected on hot button for more than 6-7 minutes
