The Lamborghini Countach was, and still is, my dream car. I had the posters on my walls through college. Had I been aware of the earlier sets that now sell for astronomical prices, I would have purchased one of those, but alas... Anyway, this set...it's awesome. Everything the kid in me would have loved to have back then. The excitement and pleasure of building this isn't diminished though.  It's a fun build, very cool techniques used to create the right shape and contours! Wish the wheels could turn to get a cool angle, but man, it is cool to look at. Love the Speed Champions series!

Childhood Dream Car

I really loved this build because the car in real life has many weird quirks and they are all packed into this small scale build. I made mine into an off road rally car that is very lifted and has a lot of lights. I liked the car because it was very sturdy and easy to modify.

Everything is awesome on this speed champion, the proportions the shapes. Worth the money indeed. Where are my rubber tires? What happened? That's my only critique; I missed the Ferrari rubber tires! Beautiful and smartly designed (decal under the transparent headlight... nice touch.

My dream car since I was young so when Lego announced that the Lamborghini Countach was coming out in Speed Champions, I just had to have this set in my collection. A fun build with interesting techniques. The flaw with this build is the windscreen did not have a white print like the artwork on the box, but more of a bluish gray color which did not match the white body color. This set would have been a gem if there were print pieces instead of stickers and a white print windscreen. Other than that, the Lego designers did a beautiful job with this set and I believe the best so far.

My dream car

I'd always wanted a Lego Lamborghini- I mean, it's in the top ten most iconic supercar brands ever (in my opinion) (also there is Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche, Aston Martin, pagani, Mercedes, Chevrolet, Ford and koenigsegg). Such a detailed and presice build of the elite 70s supercar. One of the most iconic cars in automobile history, up there with beasts like the McLaren f1 and Ferrari f40. My only big issue was how the headlights were not printed, but I get why they don't want to spend extra money on making new prints.

If it was Ferrari v Lamborghini in Lego… this wins

I am absolutely in love with the look of this build. It might just be the best-looking speed champion out there. LEGO perfectly captured the wedge-iness of the Countach, making for an incredibly fun assembling experience that has you building at many different angles. However, what absolutely kills the fun of building this otherwise flawless model, is its STICKERS. It makes zero sense to me why someone would think it's a good idea to put see-through stickers on white pieces, but apparently someone did. Any dust particles or other debris that you accidentally capture under the stickers will stand out like a sore thumb against the white plastic brick underneath. So whenever you go in for good, close look at your Countach to admire its beautiful engineering, you'll just be constantly reminded of the little things hiding under or dirtying the edges of the stickers. All it would have taken was LEGO printing the darn stickers in white. That's the one thing holding this set back from greatness.

TL;DR if you want this set to look good, you're going to need a perfectly sterilized operating room, and surgical precision.

Gorgeous build with one massive oversight

I have been collecting the Speed Champion series models for a while now, and despite the excessive sticker utilization it has been a wholly enjoyable experience each time.  That being said, the Countach model was exceeding disappointing, perhaps mainly for my high expectations coming from the previous builds.

As other users have noted, the stickers are not backed in white but rather set clear- this means that any smudge, hair, schmutz, etc. will show up instantly and stay there permanently (I used tweezers and still managed to accidentally have a fiber residing at the edge of one for good).  I don't understand this design decision, and it left a bitter taste in what was seemingly a very creatively imagined model.

Additionally, and perhaps what ruined the build for me, is the windshield.  Not only did it come significantly scratched (not the first time for these), but the "white" accents are nowhere near the white of the body.  It looks like it came from another knock-off model; I have seriously considered painting it which alone bothers me that I even had the thought when looking at the completed build.

The model itself is great, which is what makes this even worse.  If the stickers were backed in white (or even better, printed) and the windshield actually matched the model, this would have been one of the best of the series thus far.  Now, it sits as an eyesore and a testament of what a great model could have been with the slightest bit more of care in design.

Unexpected Disappointment

My kids took a try at building this first. The side panels don't fit when the inner piece is in. Even in the aerial view, it shows stuff in the way. I deconstructed the whole thing and built it myself, or tried anyway. I had the same issue as my kids… I have been building with Lego for 40 years and this is easily in my top five (maybe top two) least favorite builds of all time. I'm shocked my the good reviews. This was not a waste of money, because we'll use the parts, obviously, but I would never recommend this product to anyone I have a good relationship with.
