I usually eat my apples cold because I hate it when apples are mealy but I decided to give this on a go fresh from the store. They were crunchy and sweet. No refrigeration needed. They tasted fresh and perfectly ripe. I'll definitely be getting them again for snacking, salads, and grandma's apple pie recipe.

My family has mixed reviews on the taste; everyone did like them but to varying degrees. To me, they tasted mildly sweet but had a kind of dusty aftertaste that I don't enjoy. However, a couple of my children preferred these to the other apples we usually get, although not strongly. Crucially, they are not super crisp, so they are not as pleasant to eat out of hand as some other types. However, I think they would be delicious baked in a pie or crumble. They are pretty expensive and not so much better in the opinion of any of my family that we would get these regularly, but for a particular baked dessert we would probably indulge.
