This 80 inch tv is amazing its a really nice smart Tv amazon.playstaion,movies games ect. so my daughter comes and highjacks it during our game by using her android phone by playing that irritating video song from frozen on tube on his TV I didn't know it could do that it has so many great features we have it in our bedroom we bought the mounting piece or it came with it.. anyway the picture is excellent but the sound is way to low i saw another comment about a sound bar might try that. Also looking at buying the 2 tier component to hide the wires they look tacky. Overall My husband and i are very pleased. My suggestion for Sharp is put the speakers in the front ov th TV.

Already have 70" Sharp Acquos [before WiFi] in BR and very pleased with it. Bought this 80" Sharp Acquos to replace smaller flat screen in family room. It is BIG. Picture great. I didn't want 3D on my TV. I live in 3D most of my day, and when I want to watch TV I want 2D, not 3D. Besides that, I wear contacts and don't want to wear glasses 3D or not. 3D contacts are a pain in the cornea, and cloud vision when not looking at 3D image. Wanted 240Mhz but extra cost does not seem worth it since I'm so pleased w 70" Sharp. Read reviews of 120Mhz vs 240 Mhz. Side-by-side, it is difficult to tell difference.

I selected this because it was the best value for the size. This model is a couple of years old, but I did not think it was worth $1000 more to get a newer model that had higher refresh rate or 3D for the same size. Yes, if you compare a 120 Hz to the newer 240Hz you can see a better picture quality but this on is so outstanding I just could not justify spending more.

I was replacing a 40" 2 year old TV and this one was the perfect fit. Picture quality was much better on this TV than the one I replaced.

As the other reviewer stated, if you have a truck that can hold this massive TV, and you have two strong guys that can unload it on the other end, it is much easier to just go ahead and pick it up at the local store. Neither of my SUV's would fit this behemoth and I did not have anyone to help me unload it on my end so free delivery was a no brainer even though it did take almost 2 weeks to arrive. They are supposed to drop it off at the curb but in my case the delivery guys were really nice and brought in for me. It arrived undamaged and there were no dead pixels. I would have had to rent a truck to pick this up at the local club and pay someone to help me on my end to get it unloaded.

Be aware that if you are going to wall mount this you will need two strong guys to lift it. Sam's club carries a nice wall mount that is perfect for this behemoth.

I would definitely recommend this TV if you have the space for it. You will not be disappointed. It is a great value.

If you want a Huge TV, this is a great value

Ok .. this TV is awesome if you will use the advance OPC settings.

THE BAD NEWS
If you change it to your own preferred colours and it is brighter than the OPC settings after 4 - 7 months it will start having pixel burns and it will finally start shaking till it's "un-watcheable".

Also if the panel pixillates it cannot be fixed .. dont bother .. you will throw away $1700 only to go back 5 - 8 months later.

THE GOOD NEWS:
This is  popular problem with every LED TV and computer like Samsung and iMac not just Sharp. I had to return mine for a brand new one. Mine is a 70 Inch .. and I bought a 4 year warranty for $650.
It was also my fault ... I decided not to use the auto-light detection where the TV has a system that calibrates how much brightness is required based on lighting in the room .. and I ended up destroying it.

THE BETTER NEWS:
This is a computer ... not just a TV. I have no need for bluray players and dvd players anymore. It plays music, photos, video from my Tablets, USB Drives and smartphones, digital wifi camera's WITHOUT ANY CABLE connection .. all by WIFI which your system automatically detects so far as all your devices uses the same WIFI in the house also set up on the TV.

THE BEST NEWS
Internet streaming is sharp as the name implies. I watch Youtube using my tablets as the remote and it easily picks up the 720p and 1080p settings on most Youtube videos and turns the room into a theatre.

Now if you like digital videos like I do then you will never buy a single bluray disk. I have over 585 1080p movies. All I do is put them on an external storage drive and this TV automatically categories them according to date and alphabetical order .. and voila .. CINEMA.

NETFLIX is WICKED on this SmartTV ... wicked!
It doesn't show old flash though .. but then Flash is dying ... thanks to Apple and Steve Jobs .. so don't bother .. only few websites still have flash .. :)

Here is my 70inch previewing CNN HD, YouTube and website ... my living area makes the TV looks small in camera but it is very massive .. those willows are about 6.3 feet tall .... I took the photos with my Samsung Galaxy Note Smartphone with NO LIGHT ..

5 Stars if You Have Atleast 3 Years Warranty

Had issues with delivery.. Not drivers fault, his dispatch schedule WAY more deliveries than he could make in the time window. They ask for a 11:00AM to 3:00PM window. Delivery was made at 7:30 PM.

TV is great. Good colors, will adjust to light in room. I can see where some folks would want to adjust, but for me this is fine.

Still learning features, but Very happy with purchase.

We love our new TV, great quality.. the sound not so much.
We are looking into buying a sound bar.. that should help.
it sounds as if the speakers are in the back of the tv so it actually sounds louder in the room opposite of the wall the tv is on compared to the actual living room where it is located.

The shipping was free.. can't complain much, but it did take over 2 weeks to get the tv delivered. i was scheduled to receive it in 5 days, i called the shipping company and they had to call me back.. after speaking to multiple people (including management) i was able to get it delivered in an additional 5 days.. process took over 2 weeks until it finally arrived. I recommend buying it in store, or if you purchase online, just make sure to stay on top of it.

Overall great purchase, sound could be better, and pick up if you can.

This flat panel TV is a high definition smart tv. It has a great picture and is easy to program. It is very heavy, so be prepared to have help in setting it up.

I have a question regarding fiber optic cable I called sharp assistance services . Person has no knowledge regarding product.

No support from sharp

TV does not work. Received the tv on a Wednesday, Sharp repair man is not coming until Tuesday, I am retired and spend a lot of time watching tv, now I have to wait until at less Tuesday.
