This is amazingly good bodywash! I actually felt clean when I used it and I loved that the product didn't leave a residue on my skin. I also love that the brand is one that I trust, is affordable, and that it suds up effortlessly. I highly recommend using this product with a loofah or an exfoliating product to enhance the experience.

Easy to use bottle. Works well and lathers up nicely. So far hasn’t bothered my skin. Made my skin look less pimple filled.  Light scent but nothing overbearing . You don’t need a lot either a little does go along way.

New favorite body wash

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really enjoying this African Black Body Wash by SheaMoisture.  The scent, texture, and way it makes my skin feel make this my new favorite body wash!

I didn’t know quite what to expect with this body wash…I chose it because I trust the company, trust the ingredients, and love that it is responsibly sourced.

I absolutely love the scent, and how it makes my skin smell…a smell that doesn’t wash away, but that I notice for hours afterward.  My husband loves the way it makes me feel too…a bonus!

It has a very minor grit to it – I assume the oats – so it pleasantly exfoliates.  This isn’t heavy, and certainly couldn’t be labeled gritty, but is rather a very minimal grain to it that I find perfectly pleasant on the skin without being overwhelming or sandpapery.  I do struggle with adult acne, and I feel like the oats gently open the pores, and that the sheabutter and aloe keep my skin from drying out and flaking.

A little goes a long way so I anticipate it lasting, even with my daily use…and use it daily I certainly do.  It is the perfect mix of texture to open and refresh the skin, and moisturizing and restoratives to keep it taut and fresh.

Definitely recommend!

Lordt! This product is just  luscious all around. It smells so good and feels so good! Just basking in this scent while I shower is love. The only down side is the price. Not only do I love it, but my husband and son love it too, and they use way more than they should! If it was just me using it. I have no problem spend the $$ on it.. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received the SheaMoisture Soothing Body Wash African Black Soap Paraben Free Body Wash and oh my goodness it feels heavenly. I love the SheaMoisture brand and when I thought they couldn't possibly surpass my expectations of them they surprise me yet again. I have heard of African Black Soap before and how it's supposed to be really good for your skin, well now I see how true that is. I have very dry and sensitive skin and as soon as this body wash touched my skin I was sold. It feels and smells amazing, even my husband is using it. You get lots of lather and it feels like silk on your skin. I will definitely be buying the SheaMoisture Soothing Body Wash African Black Soap Paraben Free Body Wash from now on. Highly recommend.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

This is my first liquid black soap as I've only ever used a bar before. I have to say I like this better. It's not as drying to my body. I don't use it on my face. 

PRO: This soap left me feeling very clean without being all dried out. I will be buying more in the future. I like what it doesn't have - the parabens, minerals, sulfates, etc.  

CON: The ingredients seem decent, however, the "potash" is kind of far down on the list of ingredients %26 is almost the only "black soap" specific ingredient that I notice. African black soap is typically made with the ingredients found in the "Calm %26 Clear" version of this product.
