Silverback "Pro Style" Basketball goal systems

The goal? Think nothing of it, until you’re heading toward it at full speed setting up that game-winning shot.

The goal’s 8mm tempered glass 60” X 33”backboard and the pro-like break-away rim can withstand the intensity of your shot – and the pole pad will help absorb your inertia, and slow you down so you can snap back and pick up that rebound. There’s a 2.5 foot overhang for extra playing-action room under the board. The anchor-Bolt system allows for easy leveling, and makes it simple to take the goal along to a new home. Don’t worry about the rain or the snow or the sleet – the DuPont Powder coating and zinc coated hardware protects against rust and corrosion, and means your goal is ready as soon as the weather clears. It’s easy to adjust from 7.5” to 10” with the all-steel actuator. It’s all covered – even the glass – by a 7 year warranty, and it comes in one box for easy transport.

SILVERBACK™ 60-inch Basketball Hoop System is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great in ground system for the price. The Silverback SB60 in ground basketball system is an excellent product for the price. Extremely well engineered allowed for a quick and painless installation. A contractor/friend helped with the install - be was impressed with the product having installed a few in his time. Took about 5 hours to install allowing concrete to dry overnight. Backboard has very little vibration - a great driveway system for family and friends. Thrilled with our purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as rigid as thought Packing was adequate. Instructions were not as thorough as should be and instructions were a copy of a copy so print was not legible on some pages. Basketball Goal requires a minimum of 4 persons to install and a couple of tall ladders are a must (for fine tuning of the installed product). Leveling of goal post is pretty simple though. When basket ball is pitched to the backboard the backboard shakes quite a bit and is not as rigid as the design and photo would lead one to believe. Overall visual appeal is good once the product is in place. Still too soon to tell how this product will weather the elements. Materials are a bit lightweight for the price charged for the product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Half the cost of Goalrilla The hardest part to the install was the concrete. I did everything by myself except hanging the backboard on the post. As mentioned in previous post, the goal does look good when finished but does have quite a bit of vibration. I don't like the fact is has a two piece pole and you have to use self tapping screws on the backboard after it is hung. Realistically, it is what I expected for the money. It is half the cost of a 60" goalrilla and warrants consideration for people interested in purchasing a nice in-ground system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding product I bought this product for my two boys, 2 and 7. What I found most appealing beside price, was that this system is professional size, tempered backboard, and that it is adjustable. I was disappointed to find out that this product doesn't recommending that you dunk or hang from the rim. Not sure if its a disclaimer or the product couldn't handle the abuse. I needed to use more cement then the instructions recommend. Would recommend having 12 bags of cement versus the recommended 8, and avoid going back to the store during the middle of installation like I did. Hanging the back board is by far the hardest part of the installation, you need a minimum of 3 capable adults and ladders. All and all I am supper happy with the product. From start to finish the project took 3 hours to assemble. Keep in mind the concrete needs three days to cure before you can safely put it together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fill half the post with concrete.... I installed this myself except needed my wife's help to put up the backboard. We've had this up for 3 years and its starting to show some small rust areas where water seeps out the sides. It will probably last 7-10 years. For the best stability, I recommend filling half the pole with concrete. I've tried no concrete in the pole, half concrete, and now I have the whole thing full - which was a mistake. (too much weight too high up makes it more unstable) For the initial install, I rented a one-man auger to dig the hole about 40" deep. I poured in enough quick-set concrete to act as a footer. When I got it to the correct depth, based on the fill line on the pole, I filled up the rest of the hole with quickset around the pole, making sure it was level. Very easy overall, and very rewarding. For under 500 bucks I highly recommend this bball system. I just wish I could dunk. I let my kids dunk, but no one over ~125#. The supports holding the backboard to the pole just aren't rigid enough.
