I am not an avid sewer, but needed something for sewing repairs and a few projects around the house.  This machine has so many options, I don't think I'll ever use them all!  It is easy to set up, and I love the self-threading option.  So far, I love it!

After another low priced machine I had had for many years failed, I needed to get a replacement. I didn't want to spend too much since these days I don't do that much complex sewing (although I am an experienced sewer, not a beginner). I read the positive reviews of this machine, especially at a very reasonable price, and decided to select it. 
So I have been using this machine for a few weeks now, and it has been performing very well -- I think I definitely made a good choice! I haven't yet had a chance to try out all the fancy stitches or functions, but for basic sewing it was extremely easy to set up and has worked without any problems thus far. I have even used it for fairly thick/multi-layer sewing, and it has handled that very well. It is quiet, feels sturdy enough, etc. 
So all in all I would definitely recommend this machine.  (BTW, I saw some questions about a case -- note that this only comes with a cover made out of a thin plastic sheet (not 'hard', and not a case). So you will need to purchase one of these separately if you don't already have one.

Very nice machine

I've never had a sewing machine before and this is a great first one! Love it! I'm making masks for family and friends and so happy i was able to get it and start sewing! Also my mom has the exact same one so we are twins! she is helping me make masks also!

I was donating washable face masks for the healthcare workers, due to the PPE shortage, and while I was on my 900th mask my machine started having issues. I ordered this machine early the next morning and was surprised it was delivered the very next day! Thank you Singer!

Just what I needed!

I bought this item last month. I have been sewing for about thirty years with a basic machine. I also have a Singer overlocker for a year. I bought this sewing machine for buttonholes in one step, the stretch stitches, but I also already sew decorative stitches on my grandchildren's new shoe bags. I will be able to evaluate her in a few months; at the moment, she has not disappointed me.

This is a great sewing machine that is easy to use, and I found it to be a great value for the money.

Great value

I love the features, easy bobbin winding, easy threading, needle threading, and lots of beautiful stitches.  The only glitch I have found is while trying to see over a thick spot in the project. It made a horrible noise, scaring me to death then flashed a code. Got the tablet out to find out what the code was. Said I had a mess in the bobbin case. Turned it off and on Again. And all is well.

I bought this machine for my wife and it was one of the best purchases I have ever made. She simply loves the machine and I would recommend this machine to anyone

But it has one draw back. That is the decorative stitching to the different styles of fabric, does not show how to use them.
Otherwise the machine is a dream to use.

The best

I can't sew more than 2 items without the case holding the bobbin breaking.  I have to drive 70 miles to get it repaired because I live in a rural area.  Third time, I'm done with it.  I could have bought a new machine with the cost of repairs and gas.   I also do not like the extremely dim light.  A lamp on the sewing table is necessary to see what I'm doing.   This had such good reviews, so I must have a lemon.  I am very experienced with sewing machines, so I don't think this is user error.  Off to Walmart to buy a $59 machine that I can use for simple repairs.
