I am not a person that does a lot of sewing, but this machine is perfect for what little sewing I do. A little mending, a little fixing. It comes with great instructions and easy to use. It is a great machine for a person new to sewing. Great price!! It was easy to order from your website and there were a number of choices. I am happy with my purchase. Through many years I have sewn on a Singer machine and never had any problems.
This newer machine had a shell stitch that sewed it on both sides at the same time!

This Singer Sewing Machine is a very good machine! I am 88 years old and hadn't done any sewing for a few years. I was delighted without easy. I got back to sewing on a machine, and I think it was because this machine was easy to use, instructions were easy to understand, and everything just went well.

Had a thousand-dollar quilting and embroidery machine, I gave to my daughter.  Just want a simple machine without all the gadgets.  This is a great little machine.

Purchased this one as a replacement for 40yr old Singer. Not disappointed. Easy to understand, use and carry. Great for young ones. Grand daughter, 7yrs old, was sewing immediately.

Great, Light weight Singer

This sewing machine is easy to begin with. I am learning how to sew and it has been easy to learn how to use. It works with many different types of fabrics.

Great Sewing Machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not had time to evaluate my purchase. You really should have a N/A for an answer. I've had Singer Sewing Machines my whole life so I do not believe there will be an issue with this one. There are quite a few questions that I have responded with 5 stars because there was not a N/A so this survey is not totally accurate. But I did not want to answer with lesser stars because I believe in the Singer product.

it's a good sewing machine for the price. I always have to hem my husbands jeans and I was afraid it might not go through the material but it did a great. the machine is light weight but sews well on everything I've tried so far. The bobbin is really easy to wind. it's easy to thread, I'm anxious to try the one step button holes.

Let me preface my comments by saying that I did not put the machine together and therefore did not actually use it.  It looks and felt quite sturdy, however.  Unfortunately, without using it, I returned it.  It does not come with a hard copy user manual and not having one at hand while trying to  thread a machine would have bee  a big problem for me - admittedly a quite old person.  I did not see mention of this outside of the box but I may have missed it.  Sorry I had to return it.

one big issue

It would have been a great sewing machine, but the plastic housing was bent. It was obstructing the thread take up. I sent it back and was going to purchase another machine, but someone gave me a different sewing machine.  I spoke with several other individuals that have purchased this machine %26 it works like a charm on types of fabric.  Walmart team were fantastic assisting me with return.  Do not hesitate to purchase this work hog of a machine.
